ok I love that the CPU is really smart, it's challenging from the start, if you make one mistake you are done for, initially I kept losing but once i figured it out, I was kicking its btt, the game became so rewarding only due to a tough CPU or else I would have stopped fast.
Well done!

It’s fun, the CPU was smart but I’m smarter lmaooo I’d love to see how you expand on this, though honestly the game is already pretty entertaining as is.

Developer

Nice thank you! Ok I admit I'm not as smart as the cpu :(

I've spent a hugeeee amount of time tryna beat this game, especially since it was uploaded early, and I'm happy to say I've finally done it :sob:
The CPU is really well implemented, huge props for that, I'm genuinely impressed. Good game :)

Developer

Ah yes thank you!! I was worried people would just give up after a few plays. So happy you stuck with it till you won!

It's not fair! There should be an option to select which league CPU you want to play. Like I could maybe win with the 3rd or 4th league but not with this high level of "thinking". Kids will hate it! But seriously, after some menu with difficulty option settings and perhaps two player mode on tablet/computer and even phones) this could go straight to Poki's homepage. Bravo!

Developer

Oh wow thank you! I was worried that it was too difficult and that's a great idea to have the levels. I wish I thought of that. But I was so worried that it would be too easy I just wanted to make it challenging.

It's a fun & refreshing game for football fans like me. You can really play tiki-taka if the player has the skill to do so. Would love to see if the game has a feature to choose different formations

Developer

Ah thanks! I didn't think about the formations. That will be one of the first updates!

Love this game, the CPU's algorithm is very impressive for the 2 weeks jam.

Hey thanks! It's definitely challenging even for me!

If the bot concedes a goal, it scores right back from mid-court.

Nice little game, but the bot is definitely brutal. 🥵

Developer

I know what you mean! At first I thought it was too but as I played it more I was getting better so I liked that it wasn't too easy.

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, totally agree with you! If the bot were easy, the player would just beat the game quickly and close the tab. This way, you end up sitting there for half an hour just to prove to yourself that you are better than the machine. 😂

it's very impressive and the CPU is really smart.

Thanks! I was thinking it might be too strong but the more I played the better I got so then I was happy it wasn't too easy.

Fun game.  I've haven't managed to be beat the CPU yet.  But its been fun trying.  i was so close on the previous play then the CPU fired  the ball at the post and bounced into the goal off the back of my goalie :(

Developer

Thanks! Yeah that happens to me too. Sometimes it comes up with the craziest goals.

I've played this a few times since you submitted it early in the jam. It's a carom-style game that treats soccer passes as a chain. Early on, the CPU was way too strong for me, but the difficulty was adjusted by the voting period, and I was finally able to beat it! It's a nice fun game that's good for a quick break.

Developer

Ah thanks yeah at first I thought it was too difficult but also I was starting to get better too and was winning more.
