How did you interpret the themes?
In this game, the spider must spin webs (in the style of a tower defense game) and can also shoot (like in a roguelike shooter).
At its core, it is also a real-time strategy (RTS) game, although certain mechanics—such as spider colonies—are not yet fully developed.

Good ideas in here, just needs work on conveying those ideas and adding a little more feedback to player and enemy actions. I wish all of the combat was built around the web mechanic so that it could be the central theme and method of interacting with the game, the introduction of shooting mechanics was almost disappointing because of that haha.
Hey! Yeah, I also wanted everything to be built out of webs, turrets, and so on, but a lot of my ideas either just didn't work or broke the game balance. I'm not a professional game developer, after all I only have four years of experience(((
By the way, your game is awesome!
I like the concept, the tank control is fine for me, as long as i don't use backward or S. Need more polish obviously but the core concept is fine. I think the enemy collider is too big, Also i think enemy should spawn outside the screen, not inside. That way, player won't accidentally hit into spawning enemy and lose health. Nice submission!
Thanks! Yeah, you're right—I should have set it up so the bugs spawned off-screen, and handled the hitboxes differently... I was too lazy to make proper hitboxes for the enemies, and the spider's webs actually kept breaking because of the hitboxes.
It was fun.
I had fun too.
the controls were a bit... unnatural to be honest. Not bad, just not the traditional... Takes time getting used to. But I love the UI theme
The artworks look good. Took me a while to learn that the controls are keyboard, not mouse.
Hahaha, lol, but thanks anyway!
the artwork is very very nice, but i dont really understand the games mechanics so it might be better than i think
WASD to move, aim with the mouse, SPACE for the web—and thanks!
I'm allways a sucker for insect games. There are allways some in these jams.
It took me a couple rounds to get a grasp on how the web works - though I'm still not entirely sure if I figured it out 100%. Once the last thread has been lost, are you still able to rebuild or web, or is it lost at that point?
Hey! Thanks. If your web got smashed to bits, there's no way to get it back :( — because if you could, the game balance would be totally ruined. Anyway, thanks!
Great game! Love the art so much, and difficulty progression is very balanced. Excellent game overall!!
Thanks :) I like the design too.
