The Biggest Challenge
I didn't know bullet hells or shoot em' up games were so fun. I like this little game.

This is a game that really gets your heart racing. 💫
Intense bullet hell and extremely small hitboxes—the two key elements of a satisfying gameplay experience are perfectly balanced here.
I really love this retro vibe. The glowing bosses add a nice touch, too.
I found it a bit annoying that I couldn't press the "TRY AGAIN" button with my keyboard. Oh, and on my setup, it didn't respond to mouse controls.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing it for a very long time. 🙂
The art style and sfx are good, they really makes the game looks like an arcade game, but for me this was very very difficult, even in spooky mode, I was not alive after 10 or 15 seconds
I wonder if it depends on the setup? In my case, the game ran very fast, making it quite difficult; even in SPOOKY mode, I’d get defeated just as the boss was about to appear.
As a left-handed player, I’d really appreciate it if the Right Shift key could also be used for Focus Mode.
Aaaaaaaaah this game drove me crazy! I couldn't beat Tsar Rutabaga on Doom mode. Super fun though. The art and sounds really fit the game nicely. I would've liked a different sound for when the player gets hit so you can keep track of lives in the heat of battle.
Nicely old-school, and the sound is great — this is what a bullet hell would have looked like back in the Arkanoid era. Really enjoyed that about it. Great work!
The default Nightmare mode was a bit too tough for me, so I played on Spooky mode and beat about 3 boss-like enemies to wrap it up. Really enjoyed it!
I thought the mechanics like holding SHIFT to slow down and charging up the INFERNO meter to attack were really interesting.
If I had to give one piece of feedback, the gameplay felt a bit repetitive after a while, so adding some variations in pacing or gameplay dynamics could make it even better.
Great work on this!
