Love the cute visuals! Fun gameplay too redirecting rockets and having them zoom off to destroy trash at super sonic speed is very satisfying!

Developer

Thank you very much!!

First things first, the art style on this game is quite unique and cute. It gives off this nice hand-drawn feeling to the game without feeling too cluttered or messy.

The game itself is interesting too. It reminds me of Missile Command from the Atari 2600 in a way, except here you have less control over the direction of your rocket, which complements the damage increase gimmick quite well.

The only thing though is that the audio doesn't seem audible on my end. I'm not sure if that is caused by a glitch or if you weren't able to implement it on time, but overall you still did a solid job with this game!

Developer

For the most part, yeah, there's no audio. I did try to get a SFX in last minute for when trash collides with the planet, but it doesn't work on itch.io for some reason. I'm glad you liked the art and gameplay, though!

I fell for the visuals, very cute and incommon style. It took me several minutes to figure out the game mechanics, but I managed (unlike in most of the games I see here lol). The game felt a bit slow, though the 'endurant' trash made me lose a few times. Flies slowly but can take awful lots of hits 😤
Good luck in the jam!

Thank you! I'm very glad you liked the art. I tried to keep the spawn rates low early to not overwhelm new players, but I might've gone a bit too far with it, yeah.

A very fun and unique concept.

It lacks a gradual increase in pace.

I really enjoyed the game.

Developer

Thank you very much! The trash spawn rate does speed up a bit every 10 or so you destroy (up to 50), but the pace is definitely something worth messing with.

the theme was goodly implemented, but there was no audio at all.
the visuals were unique, but weren't the best;

i think you can't make music.
maybe this video could help

Developer(+1)

Music's a bit of a blind spot for me artistically, yeah, but for the most part I just ran out of time. I'm glad you liked the theme implementation, at least!

The actual game mechanics are quite good relative to this jam. I could see it turn into a roguelike with hours of gameplay if you added upgrades that could be earned along the way.

Developer

Thank you! Upgrades certainly were a thought that crossed my mind, yeah- making different types of cannons that fire different types of rockets, maybe?

Really cool, the redirecting is a sick concept, felt a bit overpowered though. Would've traded higher redirect cooldown for less object health any day... Art style is also really nice!

Developer

Thank you very much! Redirect cooldown is definitely a way to go, but part of my thought was that redirecting is a "time cost"- every second spent redirecting is a second that a rocket isn't moving towards a piece of trash, after all, even if they do speed up afterwards.

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the redirecting mechanic! I felt like the trash requiring multiple hits kind of slowed the game down, but the game was enjoyable and I liked the art style!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Rockets deal more damage when you redirect them, so a lot of it is balancing how much you're getting out of each individual rocket. I might've made the trash spawn rates for the early game too slow, though- they hit max spawns after around 50 are destroyed. Either way, I'm glad you liked the game and the art!

Neat Game! wouldve been nice if there was more to do though.

A girl can only do so much in a couple days. The original vision was having a campaign with levels, but that was definitely higher scope than I could manage in the timeframe. Thank you very much, either way!
