Concept: pokemon but with necromancy, sounds cool.

Gameplay: well it's... unique.

Art: for what's in it looks nice.

Audio: it's simple but there's good variety, it's nice.

In it's current state it's not a lot, but I see the potential. Also I appreciate the funny, it's great.

Hey I would argue that you technically achieved all 3 of your goals for the jam! I liked the err... plot twist? I played it 3  times to experience each different ending - Cabbage Head is my favourite guy for sure. Thanks for jamming with us! :D

woohohooo for goals met!!!

I agree with the other comments here. It’s more like a comedy sketch—but what a sketch it is! :D

You can tell this was a game jam project, and it’s actually quite charming. It’s great that you’re happy with the results; that’s what matters most.

Since you’re going for a pixel-art style, I’d recommend picking out a pixel-art font from Google Fonts right at the start of a project. That way, once it’s loaded into Godot, you can easily apply it to labels and buttons with very little effort. If you’re placing UI elements over a background, it’s also a good idea to ensure the background shares a similar color tone. If that’s not possible, you could create a separate background specifically for the UI. I know there’s no combat here—so the "dexterity" stat in the bottom-left corner isn’t critical—but it’s a good example of how a color like black might work well for some stats, but not for others (like dexterity). One more thing: if the game requires pressing "Enter" to start, it might be better to keep the in-game buttons positioned near where the "Enter" key was. Alternatively, if you decide that the player should use the mouse to progress, why not make the entire game mouse-driven? These are minor details, but they’re worth defining clearly—don’t just brush them off as unimportant!

Have a great day!

Even if it's not finished, it looks really nice and it's super charming. Also, as a Pokemon enjoyer, I approve of the choices.

Developer

that means a lot Chaos, thanks!

ambitious for sure either way even though there wasnt really a game i liked how silly it was. limited color palette good choice and the monster designs were cool. i picked the rabbit :)

Developer

it's funny cause i picked an 8-color palette which felt like a lott....i was maybe gonna do only 2-4 colors but that felt too hard haha. i'm very new to pixel art and art in general, so still trying to find my sweet spot. a palette from Lospec made things so much easier, i'm so bad at making my own palettes.

4 colors is like, the gameboy (dmg), it’s a really limited palette but it can be really cool your palette kinda looked like an orange-purple sunset gradient

Not much gameplay but at least there's email so it's good enough for me :))

Developer

e-mail ftw!!!!!!!!
