Took me a little while to figure out how each ship behaved when jamming, but once I figured it out it was pretty fun. I did find myself wishing there was a difficulty ramp as time went on, or maybe just no health regen. Once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy to hang on until your health comes back. Made it to 16330 and 19:17 before stopping, definitely addicting.

Side note: I kept getting tripped up on the default order of the signals with the key mapping. I would have liked to have 330 be in between 220 and 440.

Thanks for the feedback and congrats on the top score so far(By a longshot)!! The health regen was kind of a last minute addition since I thought it would be too hard without. But I'm very interested in playing with it now or adding it as an accessibility option. A difficulty ramp is a great idea that I would love to add now though.

Great point, I'm not really sure why I didn't order them now haha.

Really neat idea of having enemy ships ram into each other! I didn’t fully understand when I was receiving damage or not, or what the explosions were. But cool game, cool visuals.

Thanks for the feedback!! I'll see how I can improve the damage tell.

Good concept, but currently I think stuff happens too randomly for gameplay to feel satisfying. Sometimes signal makes ships turn around, sometimes they keep going straight; sometimes they quickly explode just from listening to the signal, sometimes they don't. Sometimes stuff explodes for seemingly no reason. I got 6740 / 3:44 on my second attempt

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The different shaped/colored drones are meant to have different reactions to their color-coded signal jamming. If I continue, I think a tutorial or instruction sheet is very much due to help explain what is going on. I also will be investigating the random explosions to see what is causing that!

I will add your score to the leaderboard!

I gave up after 8:30 minutes with score 4340, really fun concept but I felt like it really needs difficulty scaling because once I figured it out it felt like I could go on forever

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I will add your scores to the leaderboard. I was hoping the difficulty would mostly come from the Combo Chain but scaling in difficulty by spawning more as the player goes on could help fix that.

Fun take on the theme! I like that you stay in the middle and have to match the right signal before the drones get close. It reminds me of the typing game ZType. I also like how each frequency has its own effect on its enemies. I didn’t get it at first, but I eventually figured it out. Congrats on submitting!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I haven't heard of ZType but I will look into it. If I continue updating, I will look into adding a tutorial or some kind of instructions!

Cool game with a very addictive gameplay loop! The visuals are simple, but they work well and fit the game. I would advise adding a colorblind mode, as the correct signal depends solely on color. Adding a ship icon to the signal instead of hertz would solve this issue. The particles were nice and satisfying, and they helped the game feel more polished. Overall, good job! I got 3:59, 6850

Developer

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback!! That's a great idea I will look into adding that feature if I continue updating the game.

I will add your score to the leaderboard!

Got a best of 4750 and 3:08. I liked the aesthetic. I think an in-game tutorial would have been nice, it took me a bit to get my bearings about me.

Thank you! I wanted to add a tutorial but with work I just ran out of time.
