Theme Interpretation
Seagnal fits the theme by having the player interpret light signals from incoming boats according to a set of rules, while the lighthouse beam incorporates the Flashlight wildcard.

Heyy, It's a very cozy game:D Maybe a bit slow for my liking but extremely polished overall.
It felt like the endgame is mostly boats that don't fit the rules, it might have been because the rules were random. Some of the rules could be explained in-game. I was second guessing myself on some of the expressions. I would imagine a lot of the players wouldn't have experience with programming syntax - unary and binary operators. This must have taken quite a bit of time to get to the current balance :D Great game!
Thank you so much for playing the game and actually beating it! I really appreciate it! Due to the random nature of the game, some runs are unluckier than others. I wish I could have implemented some sort of pity system, but I just didn’t have the time.
I love how unique the mechanic is! I think I would've gotten more feedback if I could see which rule the boat's signal has violated, kind of like showing the answer key after deciding to let it pass or reject it. Nicely done!
Thanks! You’re not the only one to point that out, and I completely agree. It would have been a relatively easy addition that would have made the game so much better.
Liked it! Yes, the rules that are in the game itself could be more clear. And I don't understand, why failing skips the wave entirely? Anyway, I had fun, thank you!
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you had fun, and thanks for the feedback about the rules! Just to clarify, failing doesn't skip a wave. The waves always progress from 1 boat to 2 boats, then 3, and so on.
I really like how it fits the theme! The gameplay is challenging in a good way. I've struggled with the rules at the start, but once I understood them, it became really fun
Thank you very much!
Very cool regex simulator kakak, I just found it kind of hard to know when I've already signaled something or not, you could add an indicator on what you're currently signaling maybe. Overal a cool idea, congrats!
Thank you very much for your feedback! I really appreciate it. I’ll keep your point in mind for the future. Thanks again!
It's a very clever entry, well done! I particularly liked the art style and the audio, it made for a very cosy evening at sea. I struggled a little understanding the symbols intuitively in what they wanted me to check. I would suggest to use drawn symbols instead.
Thank you very much for your feedback! I really appreciate it. I’ll keep your point in mind for the future. Thanks again!
Creative use of the theme. Reminded me heavily of papers please's design loop. (with only slightly less existential dread).
Thank you very much! That was one of my inspirations.
Very pretty art style, i struggled with the rules at the beginning but its pretty fun once you get the hang of it
Thank you very much!
Vibes are great, love the art style and the atmosphere. The premise seemed interesting to me, but the game started way too hard, and I kept failing without really understanding what I was doing wrong.
I think the game starting off a lot easier, and becoming progressively harder would've helped greatly. Or maybe introducing mechanics as time progresses.
Solid entry into the jam regardless, good job!!
Thank you very much for your feedback! It seems the difficulty is a bit overtuned. I’ll keep that in mind for the future!
It was a bit hard for me to get into at first, but it's a lovely and original take on the theme! Maybe adding a super easy tutorial level would help new players get the hang of things!
Thank you very much for your feedback! It seems the difficulty is a bit overtuned. I’ll keep that in mind for the future!
I liked the idea, but I didn't get the rules completly and failed twice on the fifth round :( most ships are denials, the first round I think not a single one till round 4 was correct :D the art is cute and the signal theme is very well implemented. Still not sure if all rules must be obeyed or if just no rules have to be broken
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback! Due to the random nature of the game, sometimes all the ships pass through or none of them do. The rules are random as well, and some are harder to meet than others. If I had more time, I would have introduced a system to track this and deliberately spawn the right ship after too many incorrect ones.
I loved the graphics on this one! I was a little confused initially but the mechanic ended up being interesting and pretty creative. I was getting some pretty bad crackling in the audio, which seems common for web exports. You might be able to fix it as simply as increasing the web latency in the audio driver project settings! Nice job overall!
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback! I noticed that issue as well, but I wasn’t sure how to address it, so I recommend playing the desktop version. Thank you for suggesting a fix as well! I’ll give it a try!
Unless you have crazy loops in the game at the same time you're loading audio for some reason it's almost definitely solvable in Project Settings under audio/driver/output_latency.web. I find that setting it to a higher value will usually zap all the crackling before it gets too noticeable. My game in this jam had that setting at something like 80 or 90 milliseconds, which might be a lot if it was a rhythm game or something, but it still feels pretty tight to me with a huge amount of audio cues happening simultaneously. Hopefully that helps in the next one!
I really enjoyed the cozy vibe and theme. I was hoping to see some light house themed games so I'm glad you did it! It was kind of confusing on what I had to do at first but after a round I understood. There also seemed to be a lot of down time so for something longer, maybe there is a mechanic you could add. Or this could be a fun idle game like the one game that runs in the corner of your screen!
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate it! I originally had ideas for other mechanics, but I scrapped them due to time constraints. I might add more later, though.
I think I like the idea of this game, it just took me a bit too long to understand what the game was asking of me. More clarity on the rules would help, better feedback when you do get it right (if you get it wrong a buzzer immediately happens, but there's nothing for succeeding), and if you get it wrong there's no telling which rule the signal broke
So yeah, cool idea and neat visuals, but I wish there was more feedback to the mechanics themselves
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback! That’s a great point. It would have been much better if the player could see what they got wrong. I’ll keep that in mind for the future. Thanks again!
Very unique, tough on the beginning but when it clicks its really fun!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Great entry. The concept is unique and I love it. Felt like making logic statements in code. Nice work.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I liked your game . Thanks for rating mine ☺️
Thanks!
