I love the cute little world you created in this game! The characters are really cute and the interactions were nice. It would be cool to see more dialog and interactions with the npcs! A bit more of an in-game walkthrough would be nice for figuring out where to go to plant things and how to harvest and sell. Some sort of visual indicator that a day has passed when you interact with the farm would also be good. The player’s inventory is also really small and you can only hold one pumpkin in each slot! Although there are some bugs, this is still a really cool accomplishment for a new team! I see the potential, great work!

It's charming but could use some direction, it was way too open.

The game is so stardew core, it's very very cozy. I loved tilling and growing pumpkins, and the npcs around the town seemed really cute too. The buildings are drawn so nice too haha, topdown rpg game artstyle digs so so well. the only issue tbh i had was the fact i could carry only one pumpkin at a time? unless theres a solution for that? otherwise, really good game!! i can tell a lot of effort was put into it

Very cute! I'm not sure what I was doing wrong though, but my pumpkins wouldn't grow after watering them ): Its such a cozy game and definitely agree it gave stardew valley/animal crossing vibes!

The art is cute, the music is nice too and Mario the turtle gave me a good chuckle.  I do have some complain in terms of the polish. Here are the note had had taken while playing the game.

  1. The full screen button are wonky, sometime the game does go full screen but sometime it just the page and the game it self stays the same size.
  2. Would be nice to have some prompt for interactions and picking up items.
  3. When the player character move the sprite gets blurry.
  4. Esc closes the ui but also exit full screen.
  5. The interactions with the soil (water, tilting, etc) can be jank sometime.
  6. The Player  character get render on top of tree and after the bushes.
  7. At sometime the hot bar was gone and the storage also doesn't open up.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

In my opinion, we’ve overscoped the game’s concept for a first project. So, while the implementation is there, we weren’t able to polish it within the allotted time. As for the player rendering on top of trees and bushes—that’s a bug I wasn’t able to fix due to time constraints. In Play mode in the Unity Editor, we configured each rendering order layer, and we also set up the correct positioning for the trees: the player is behind the leaves and in front of the tree trunk. But for some reason, this got messed up when building for WebGL

Good game, but i think you missed the point of jam theme.

it doesn't have any downloadable files and doesn't launch in my browser :(

I'm sorry to hear that

Unfortunately, we can't modify the game files while the game jam entries are being judged

This game is so cute and really reminds me of animal crossing in some ways. Unfortunately it lacks a lot of easy polish that could help improve it's general appeal - things like proper menu interfaces, guidance, and proper layering of sprites. I did really enjoy the sounds and feel that with enough 'guidance' in game there's probably some good depth here! Keep it up on working as a team : )
