Loved every piece of this experience. The creepy atmosphere and the puzzles that make use of the environments were very well done. I even went in again to check something out and was rewarded with my curiosity by ascending to frog nirvana! Great premise! Only docked points for the theme being a bit weak but I get that I was being "signaled" on where to go next.

I can't get the cursor to capture into the screen.

Developer

Sorry to hear that! I think I have a bug where the cursor doesn't recapture if you press the escape key. You can use the right mouse button or Q to cancel interactions with objects or you can download the game and that should work better.

This was fun! I enjoyed the different ways of obtaining puzzle pieces to get to the next part. The movement was smooth and the animations were pretty snappy, too. Decent interpretation of the theme, as I found myself looking for signs to the next floor number, but could have been stronger. I never saw the room in the last screenshot, so I played a second time to see if I missed something, but still got the same ending. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the floor numbers changed, though!

Nice work!

First off, thanks for the menu template! That saved me time so I could focus on the game.

The last room is a bit hidden. I'll give you progressive spoilers

Step 1

You need the flashlight to find the code

Step 2

Turn out the lights in the elevator and use the flashlight

Step 3

Go to the maze floor and keep the lights out. Use the flashlight on the walls and ceiling.

Hopefully that helps!

Thanks for the hints! I thought I had tried that on the second playthrough, but I must have turned the lights back on in the elevator before returning to the maze(?). Maybe I assumed they were separate lighting controls, and went through the maze looking for hints in dark corners.

Great game!!! I enjoyed playing it in full. The only minor issue I had was confusing 1 and 7 at one point, don't know how intentional this was :/

Developer

Was that with the red font? It was unintentional unfortunately, but I didn't have time to swap it out and test everything.

Submitted

It was in the final code.

the vibe and puzzles here are really good! it was fun trying to keep an eye out for clues and navigating the maze!

Dang great job! The arm was really impressive (hopefully not too spoilers)

Thanks! That moment is pretty janky if you saw the setup. AnimationPlayer does a lot of heavy lifting.

Oh I imagined it was held together by duct tape and prayers but it came out really good. Great job distilling the things that were actually important to send the message you wanted!

This one of my favorites so far. It was tricky and fun and I had to play it until the end. Nice job!

Reminds me a lot of the old escape room games in the newgrounds era. Very nice and atmospheric!
