Well Done Getting this game out. I love the spooky apartments and love spamming the knife lol. the monsters def scared me. I would to have more sound effects. One small nitpick was some objects like the bed seems really small lol. and also the settings for the audio I think you made the interact button too large. Overall I had fun :)

Fun game, I enjoyed! I liked the twitchy monster animation, they made me panic. The game was definitely missing some spooky sounds though, especially from the monsters. Also, the boiler room key is extremely difficult to pick up. I thought I was missing something was running around for awhile looking for something else instead of picking it up. Overall, I enjoyed the demo and am excited to see what you add in the future! Great bones are here.

Good game bro i enjoyed playing it

Very cool and the fact that this is the 3rd one?absolutely amazing , I gave it a rate

Here's my game if you're interested in trying it we would be very happy

Mazeophobia:/jam/scream-jam-2026/rate/5188043

The game is set in a maze where you have to find 3 keys and escape through a door before "him" gets you!

Walking around with a little knife, cutting everything that moves and everything that doesn't. I made it to the end of the game :3c

Submitted

Got up until the end although I didn't really understand what that machine-thingy? was that triggered it.

Generally vibin with the other opinions in the comments, one small quesiton, where there any healing items? i couldn't find any and had to go raw for the whole game

Developer (1 edit)

The green bushes were heals, i unfortunately ran out of time for the tutorial :(

The key in the boiler room goes to floor 3, apartment B, and it will lead to much more in the full version

Shear panic and mayhem. Very cool. Love the look of the cam filter.

it was fun running around stabbing anything that moved, i liked that aspect but unfortunately the game is lacking a lot of polish and i got lost after getting to the boiler room(?). I think i picked a thing up but im not sure, kinda ran around aimlessly after that and wasnt sure what to do

cool short game! was expecting a twist where we are actually the ones going crazy and killing everyone.

some things we're a little confusing, and you can easily get lost in terms of progression, but managed to make it to the end anyhow!

Developer

Interesting. it sounds like you played the other two? :D

Submitted

i haven’t! i just thought the twist might be something like that :)

I like the CRT cam filter. Also the roof view with 3 lamps looked very good artistically. It is a cool shot, understand why you wanted to use that ass a cover.
I kinda wish I could have stayed longer enjoying picturesque views like that.

Anyways. CRT filter also made me think: hey, WHY my guy has a cam filter for his eyes? Are we perhaps shooting a first person movie? Just a thought about how some artistic decisions shape the narrative. Meeting a camera crew would've been funny with that premise. Just a thought if maybe you want to explore that.

Enemies felt not scary, mostly frustrating. I DO think it's pretty hard to make really scary enemies in a jam game, cause stakes are pretty low. But overall I guess there was no tension when the first one appeared. I think it could have used a bit more buildup to get to the monster.

Boiler room key was a bit confusing. I mean I expected it to open exit, it did not and I stumbled into the 3rd floor by total accident. That prompt needs to be clearer. Thankfuly, checkpoint system is pretty nice, so you can still finish the game just by running around.

Overall solid game, keep it up <3

I made it until the boiler room, where I think I picked something up but then wasn’t really able (or figure out) how and what to do with it. Still wasn’t able to use the main exit. Is there much that I was missing? If so I’d try again. Overall really fun! I love how smooth the moving feels. Stabbing like a maniac with my knife is fun too. I think a bit more guidance would be great - if you miss one text, from what I understand I’d have to restart to read it again. In my first session I didn’t understand that I need the ladder, because I apparently didn’t read that prompt fast enough. But that’s nitpitting - really cool game!!

Cool entry! I'm pretty sure its already been said a bunch before but there is quite a bit of lag. Other than that swinging the knife at enemies was really fun and I really liked the outside part it was refreshing compared to being inside lol. Anyway cool entry!

Developer

Thank you! Im glad to hear the outside part was nice, i am putting one more portion for outside in the full version!

and about that lag, do you happen to recall the area it is in?

Submitted

I'm not sure if it's just my computer, but mostly everywhere. It would clear up once and a while but then come back

Overall a decent demo, aside from the mysterious lag when looking at a certain direction and some text disappearing too quickly. I liked how you have to spam the knife stab, very funny

The only thing I'd change is some SFX, particularly the knife and enemy ambient, the knife makes a stabbing meat-y sound when it should just be a swoosh, and the enemy ambient isn't very scary, and hard to distinguish from just Noise.

I liked the environment design, having to navigate the building from a different side and then dropping into a lower floor through the ceiling. However, some models are too small relative to player's size (sofa in the MC apartment is the most prominent example). Things should be a little bigger in general

Developer

Thank you very much for this feedback! Ill incorporate all of these points into the main game :)

The game's interesting and enjoyable to play. The aesthetics fit and the sounds are creepy. I'm thinking of making a similar walking sim for a future project.

Developer (3 edits)

What the heck are you talking about? This is not a walking simulator, there are enemies and healing items and death states.
