A fungal outbreak turning a mushroom village into a nightmare is such a creative setting, and surviving the infection while uncovering its secrets sounds like a great hook. Players are praising the voice acting and the hand-drawn art, which is wonderful to see from a team of six. Congratulations on shipping Windows and Linux builds! If you have a spare few minutes, I would love for you to try my entry, Last Sweep.
Really well made, Very fun. Liked the voice acting and the different mechanics. Might be an personal opinion but its really dark lol. would of loved more light sources. But overall really good and nice art :)
Thank you for playing!
It's just a great game with cool voice acting and drawing! This is a really cool game. I like the inventory system, the click system, and more. I hope you will continue to develop the project! Good luck!
Sorry I wasn't able to complete your game - it's really dark and I got confused about what to do but I will try again. I will try to complete it before the jam ends . Overall I really liked the horror aspect of it, the sudden appearance of the first enemy was honestly scary, maybe bc it's so dark or bc I hate infection related things.
Hey! Which part of the game were you confused about?
Start point where we just encountered the first enemy, the path was blocked by him and I couldn't find any other paths.
Ohh right, you gotta make a run for it. Enemy is not the smartest
Really love the 2D artstyle of the game and overall vibe of it, also the concept is really nice!
I appreciate it! Thank you!
Really cool game it was fun to play and i rated it, but the flashlight radius was small but i am sure you'll fix it , good luck
Here's my game if you are interested in trying it: /jam/scream-jam-2026/rate/5188043
Hey! I've actually already played your game!
Thank you for playing!
Love the idea and art. It was overall super fun to play! I had one mushroom monster get stuck or otherwise just not move for a while in a place I needed to go through, unfortunately. I did love that if they caught you you just got infected instead of insta death, made the game less frustrating on that front. Agree with others that the flashlight radius should be bigger. Great entry all around!
I'm glad you found it fun! So much to improve still but at least it's playable!
Thank you!
Pretty cool, I beat it, and liked the art a lot! Some good audio too.
That was a really big game map wise for a week, I guess it was made using CSGs? I think the textures don't fit too well with the game and look a little repetitive though; I think something like this or this (this one is free) may fit with your game more. Once I figured out the monsters are on a pattern it became a lot less scary, also it seems hard to die? even when I got corned twice I didn't die, I think the chase sequence should've maybe not have had false turns, that would've removed some frustration. I think enemies should also chase if you get too close.

XDDD this surely was entertaining to watch! Thank you for the feedback! I've already addressed many of the issues and am in the process of a full overhaul on the textures, environment, lighting. I'll be releasing the update soon enough. The map is made with hammer++. Thank you for playing!
Very nice! I love shroom mother
However, I think the flashlight radious could've been a little more sparing... It's hard to see and it doesn't add much to the scare factor. I also got outrun in the chase sequence, but it didn't kill me.
Yeah it's definitely too narrow and the chase scene needs some work. Thank you for playing!
good art style, loved the mushroom heads! flashlight circle could've been a bit bigger. Enjoyed it overall
Thank you for playing!
Great art and great vibe, the mushroom men did end up causing my alot of trouble since they kept getting me the moment I turned a corner with no time to react (this could fully be on me being stupid though lol), but other then that the game was great, good job!
Thank you for playing! Listen to their footsteps and you should be able to predict where they are.
The game visually looks nice. The flashlight works well in limiting how much you can see and creating a scarier effect. The sound design works well and feels quite scary when you're getting chased by fungus monsters.
I tried a couple of times and couldn't get past the forced chase sequence after destroying the second stationary fungus. The first time, a fungus monster was able to hit me from behind some barrels and killed me. The second time, I ran to where the nearby matches were. The fungus monster would not deaggro, even after the chase music ended and moved to the doorway every time I would try to leave.
Solid premise overall and I think it has potential.
Yeah for the chase you really cant hide, you just gotta run through the pathway to the end. Thank you for playing!
Art was really great and voice acting was solid! The game was easy to read and story itself was also interesting! Loved the vibe of this project overall!
I got cornered during the chase scene (skill issue), but on the second try I managed to finish the game :)
Awesome job with the game! :)
Yeah there really shouldn't be dead ends during the chase. It will be changed in the future. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! And thank you for playing it!
Cool art! The game has its own vibe, cool voice acting and an interesting story that reminded me of bioshock. I found the training too intrusive and was also upset by the small radius of the flashlight. There were bugs with getting stuck in a corner due to a monster. I didn't have enough horror, the game was more interesting than scary, but I think it would be cool to see the development of this idea. It would be also interesting to see more interaction with the environment as in Amnesia. Good job, good luck in the future!
Hey! Thank you for trying it out! The 'training' could definitely be made even more straight forward. Appreciate the feedback! I will definitely take your notes into account in further development!
i loved the art, the premise was very cool but i kept getting cornered by the mushroom guy and dying. still great job on the game!
ah that's a shame! thank you for playing it though!
I'm proud to say I was able to finish the game. I studied the map and I loved everything about it :3. I like the way the main character is drawn
Yayyy!! Thank you so much for playing!

Super cool premise, and I really love the worldbuilding, big fan of mycelial horror so this is my jam :)
Unfortunately got stuck in the first area and couldn't figure out where to go in the first dark area with the fungus person and second mushroom cloud , but I'm definitely intrigued - let me know if I'm missing something and I'll come back to it, haha.
Well done!! :>
Hey! I'm glad you enjoyed so far. ive made it easier to figure out the mechanics so you should definitely give it another go!
Thank you for playing!
Thank you! Finished the game, was fantastic, wonderful work!! :)
Im glad to hear it! thank you for playing!
i played the game and i liked it but i couldn't finish it
i couldn't pass through the first two mushrooms! its little dificult for me and soo dark even with flashlight
i think you should make it more easy and also make the flashlight more stronger
thank you for the game <3
Hi! I agree the game was very dark. The mechanics should now be easier to grasp and the flashlight is a bit stronger. Definitely give it a second try! Thank you for playing!
I couldn't finish the game, but it's very interesting. It wasn't explained how those creatures got here or what they were looking for! The game also took a long time to display for a file below 200 MBs, and it started to stutter. Otherwise, it's a solid entry.
Hey! Thats unfortunate you couldnt finish the game. I'm aware of the performance issues but desktop build should run atleast playably unless you are playing on a smart fridge.
The origin of the creatures is explained in notes scatterd around, you probably missed those. I'm currently working on a patch to make the game a bit more playable.
But thank you for playing!
Cool game, looking forward for more content and updates!
