The visuals and sfx are really well done! That "medieval" vibe is implemented very nicely.
I also entered the jam with a medieval game but yours is very polished.

At first I don't know I need to press and hold to light up my tower, so the bakery is dark after this, but once I got it, I appreciate the rhythm of lighting up the beacon tower and sending letter to Ada, and I also like the music and sound effects of the game. Nice game!

Really nice game! I think the atmosphere is probably my favorite part. The visuals, the scenery and the whole idea of having these towers communicating through light make the world feel really interesting. It's also a great way to use the jam's theme without just making another game about carrying a torch around.

I also enjoyed the gameplay more than I expected. The timing mechanic with the spacebar is pretty simple, but there's something surprisingly satisfying about getting the timing right. I like that it doesn't need complicated controls to feel rewarding.

The whole concept of being a keeper in this chain of towers is genuinely cool, and I think there's a lot you could build around it. The presentation really helps sell the idea too. Overall, a lovely little experience with a great atmosphere and a clever concept. Nice work!

Lovely atmosphere! Holding to grow the fire and then watching the beacons light up one by one across the ridges is really satisfying 🔥 The letters were my favorite part — I sent an angry letter as it was, and in Night 2 the bakery stayed dark and the baker said "I didn't mean it, keeper." That consequence really landed. Small notes: during the drum part I couldn't tell if my taps were registering (a hit/miss flash would help), and a hint about how long to hold the fire would be nice. Tiny typo: "to to the capital". Great work, and thanks for the detailed "How AI made this" section!

Noted on your feedback about the UI as well as the typo. Will take that into account!

I think the graphics are great and it's a good concept, I think you can take this way further and have a full visual shop, different types of paper for the letters, different visual cues for the dialogs or audio cues. I think also the ui could use some tweaking so many times there was like overlaying text that was competing with each other I didn't always know exactly what I should be looking at.

I wanna edit this by saying, I usually take my reviews/ ratings seriously as opportunities to find flaws. So sometimes I might come across as nitpicky or something- but I think these jams are an opportunity to everyone including myself to make better and better things. I am specifically editing this comment cause I wanna say I really genuinely loved your vision here and look forward to seeing what you make in the future.

Gotta say, I was blown away by this one. Very well designed. I only had one minor issue: it wasn't clear to me (I think the prompts went by too quickly) at first how to light the fire (have to hold down the mouse or space), I kept just taping it once. Also, I don't always read so thoroughly these days so I sort of missed what was happening at first. But, that is on me. I sometimes skip story and exposition (especially since I'm trying to review many games) and I didn't realize at first that it was very important to the core of the gameplay here. Once I started understanding the game I started enjoying it more. Graphically, it is really beautiful. It is a sort of "choose your own adventure" where you play a sort of "middleman" in all these peoples' lives. Sometimes honesty isn't the best choice. Sometimes it is. I love that sort of guessing. Cozy and relaxing sort of game. Nice job! Here is a recording of my playtest.

i noticed some colors were different on ur screen, definitely something that i missed out on the UI front. thank you once again, good luck on ur entry as well!
