How does the game relate to the theme (Haunted)?
The house is pretty haunted, same with the computer. And toilet.
What optional themes/'powerups' were used, if any (Psychedelic and Machine)?
Psychedelic sorta spooky PT/Shining style premise, the PC in the game is a machine too. And it pretty pivotal to it all.

This game is nicer. It could have been shorter, but it’s still enjoyable to play. Personally, I found the moment with the jumpscare from the lady on the toilet bowl quite amusing.

Ayyyy cheers for playin'. Made another version years ago for a different game jam that was basically just the regular old maze game but on Game Boy. Always felt that was a bit too short but I may have gone too far in the other direction haha. Will keep that in mind when i'm makin' other games from now on too. Glad you liked the toilet scare too, that was a fun one to throw in haha.
Nice game entry. I thought the game could've been a lot shorter and still communicated the message. That's my only complaint. The 3D hallway represented by a 2D chart was interesting.
Hoyyo, thanks for givin' the game a whirl. The start of the game's pretty much the entirety of the old version of the maze game I made for a game jam years back. Have always wanted to expand that though but might've ended up closer to going overboard. Especially once I worked out all the harder to do perspective stuff. Everything else besides that is fun haha. Glad you dug that too.

Super creative game! Probably the scariest game of my life. Love the aesthetic and sounds which as well complement the game quite well!
This game is actually so funny lol. I wasn't expecting a lot of what's happening to be there. There are so much dumb jokes here as well, it feels like watching a "Scary Movie" movie.
I had a lot of fun with this one! Great work!
Eyyyy cheers a bunch, was cool converting speech clips to sound effects and tis nice they turned out better than I expected. Especially being on a handheld from decades ago haha. Originally planned to have a more serious tone but that's not my usual style, and silly ended up working better with the sudden-spooky-bits. So it's good to hear I probably went in the right direction.

When I made the original one folks were always like "Ha, know how this is gonna end". Wanted to mix things up this time though, if there was a moment I'd be expecting a jumpscare or some kinda dumb joke I either made it earlier or later and from the sound it might've worked okay. Hell yeah.
