This looks really fun but I wasn't able to run it thanks to my potato laptop. However, I wanted to say that the art is gorgeous!!! Did you do the models yourself? Same with the music, I really liked it.
Thank you so much, I’m glad you liked it! Sorry you couldn’t play it. I did optimise it for weaker PCs, so it doesn’t use the full power of Unreal Engine, but it sounds like it still wasn’t enough for your laptop. As for the art, I didn’t make the models myself. They came from the gamedev.tv Halloween bundle, and the music is from Epidemic Sound. Since this is my first game jam, I haven’t set up a proper credits section yet.
I'll have to keep those links in my back pocket then! I'll try to play it again when I have access to a stronger PC lol
Sounds good, hope you get to try it on a stronger PC! Just a heads up: the Halloween bundle was only available for a limited time, and I bought it about a month ago, so I’m not sure it’s still up. If it is, I’d hurry :D
Thanks for the game. Neat idea to have a Halloween themed powerwash simulator :D I wonder what happened when reaching 100% progress. I could not find the final missing piece which is a shame but still. Enjoyed it.
The one thing of note is that there were no sounds nor music. Those really would have helped carry the atmosphere, ideally with some random areas where the wooden floor makes some eerie noises etc. But maybe the sound problem was only on my computer.

Sorry you couldn’t find the final piece. I playtested the game several times and it worked for me, so I’m not sure what went wrong. One thing to check: all the trash bags need to be inside the bin outside, and they disappear a few seconds after you put them in. Also, once a wall stain is fully cleaned, the progress bar at the top of the screen should update. If neither of those happened, please let me know and I’ll dig into it!
As for the sound, I put a lot of work into the audio to build the eerie atmosphere, so I’m sorry you didn’t get to hear it. I’m not sure why it was silent for you, but I’ll look into it.

Hmm wonder what went wrong then. I’m playing it using the itch app’s sandbox mode on win11. Maybe that causes it?
I just tested it myself through the itch app with sandbox mode on, and everything worked as intended - sound, progress bar and trash bags included. I’m not sure what’s happening on your end. Sorry that you experiened those issues.
Good news! I reinstalled the game and now the audio is working fine. No idea what that was about. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your patience!
