The aesthetic is really cool, persona 4 vibes. I would play this as a full game. Many directions you could expand this game, good job!

I fell off when I went to the right after the ladder and got stuck :(

Thank you for reporting this bug, I forgot to place a wall on that side of the room :D

I will post a fixed version after the rating phase.

afaik you can update the game even before the jam ends as long as it's a bug fix

Really liked the use of some physical objects makes it feel a bit more 3d. I also liked the idea of selling some basic functions to progress further. Just wish it was a bit more difficult and a standalone build. Overall though its great!

Thanks for your feedback Cloakem! I agree to your point about the difficulty, I originally didnt want to make it too hard because I thought it would be frustrating for most players when they have to walk so slow after selling their legs. I intend to rework that tho and make avoiding the enemies and learning their ai pattern a bigger part of the gameplay.

Abou the standalone build: I will post a windows build as well as a link to the public git repository with all the game files after the rating phase :)

The lighting sensation is amazing. Also you made all those animation? Cool.
The use of top-down camera with limited visibility and slow walking speed creates a nice sensation of oppression and weight.
The physical objects adds liveness to the scene.
BTW is it a backroom game?

Developer

thank you for your feedback! And no, I used the free animations from mixamo for the characters. I had to tweak some values because transitions were messy, but it overall saved me a lot of time.

I honestly never thought about this being linked to the backrooms, but I encourage all kinds of interpretations ;)
