I'm testing a small prototype before deciding whether to build a full game: Sunplot
You plant a garden on a small grid and press Grow. Tomatoes need sun, ferns need shade, sunflowers grow tall and shade the bed below them, cabbages need a pond, pumpkins need bees from lavender. Puzzles mode has 12 hand-made gardens; Seasons mode is short replayable runs where you pick 2 of 3 plants each season and must beat a rising harvest target.
AI disclosure: the code, art and text were made with Claude (an AI model) under my direction; the page's AI disclosure is filled in. No image generators were used.
What I'd like to know:
- Could you play without instructions? Where did you get stuck?
- Which mode did you keep playing, and why?
- Would a full version interest you? What would it need?
- What does it remind you of — and is that one better?
It runs in the browser (desktop and mobile), no sign-up. Blunt answers are welcome — thanks!
