How does the game relate to the theme (Haunted)?
The hearth is haunted: something lives in the fire, and it whispers, learns the animals’ names, grows a face, and keeps asking for more. As the night goes on the whole cabin turns with it, and whatever you feed the fire doesn’t stay gone.

The dread of running out of things to burn and knowing that eventually one of the poor cute animals had to be sacrificed was so sad!!
When the lil woodland friends started to appear I thought "Uh oh" haha.
Loved the Banjo-Kazooie style eyes on the fire. Second run I tried to keep the lil critters alive as much as I could...but owl had to go to protect the others. RIP owl.
Love the artstyle! Also love the dread when you start running out of stuff, very unsettling!

very interesting game! Kind of unsettling and the thought of sacrificing the animals are definitely very unnerving. I wish there were a bit more depth though with the interactions and mechanics but it was still a fun time! Great work!

This is really well made! It's unnerving, but the crow looks super goofy tho.
I must say this is a very, very strong and strange game. I am unable to find the fourth ending though, but I’ll try and find it soon.
