So creepy! A little difficult to figure out the objective, but getting caught always made my heart jump.

Amazing game and I felt like there was always something I was missing out on. One thing that took me out was the overload of things happening at a time, sometimes I couldn't get a good read on something like the hint shown or the conversation happening on the phone, or even the hint on where they are as a lot could happen at once. Other than that I find the difficulty is perfect, I do generally struggle with stealth games so it was a good challenge! Spent a while on this one and will come back after I finish up the other games in the jam!

This is such a well made polished game, I'm surprised you managed to pull this off in such a short time! The sound design is phenomenal and I find the gameplay fun. A very original idea and it is perfectly executed!

Oh, wow!

Really nice game! You managed to create a genuinely tense atmosphere.
I really like the graphics and gameplay, but what stood out to me the most was the audio.
And what was up with that random cat showing up out of nowhere?

Really well made! It's one of the longest ones I've played, but I think it's really satisfying. My first playthrough got me to 9/11 hints and got found :( will definitely try again later. I like how the monster (if you can call him that) constantly taunts you through the phone while you are frantically searching the whole house for stuff, it makes the game super tense even though I didn't even read any of that. (Thats the point right?) Anyway, I think you guys pulled off something amazing these six days, extremely well done!

Other things I like:

  • Even having a backstory for the game in a jam is already great
  • A description of what sounds come from where. Saves me the hassle of guessing
  • Cone of vision
  • Orangery! It makes me happy seeing this in a video game

Suggestions:

  • The game is super dark, which I know is a thematic choice, strained my eyes quite a bit after playing for a while. Consider making a slider for how bright the game looks
  • It would be great if the map is visible at all times rather than requiring the player going into the pause menu. It harms the pacing a lot. Also, I'd say the map really needs some work to better convey what the room layout is
  • Consider making a larger contrast between the walls and the door. It's really hard to tell something is actually a door. I've walked past the bathroom

First of all, thank you for such a long and helpful feedback! We are really happy that you liked our game. We also agree that maps and doors need some more work on them, bc they were last minute changes after playtasting. Something we will definetly improve if we work on the game again.

Really well made game and it looks like a lot of polish went into it. Also pretty scary and the mechanics around sound are really cool

Developer(+3)

Thank you  so much! Also the whole team is from Poland so the game is pretty much polished indeed. 😆

Actually, it’s a good idea for a game: at the same time, you can hear the maniac and know where he is, but you yourself shouldn’t be near objects that make sounds, otherwise he’ll come running to you. And it was quite interesting to play.

Developer

Yes thats exactly the hook! Thank you for playing!

got me stressed for real, the idea and concept was pretty darn interesting, i did get murdered while looking at evidence due to lack of spatial awareness, and the guy disappearing when out of range was spookyyy, since at first i thought id see him through walls

My only complaint is that the keymapping makes it difficult to sneak. I wonder if anyone would be able to beat your game. The house is huge, and I thought maybe there was a map somewhere. The mechanics are polished, and it's definitely scary to be in that position.

You can view the map in the pause menu

Damn, that house is huge :D very scary and very cool. turning the sound into a gameplay mechanic is always cool

Developer(+2)

Thank you! We really worked hard to make this game as scary as possible.
