even on a powerful machine with hardware acceleration on, for some reason i was having really bad delayed response to any key/mouse input. really unfortunate because this looks truly amazing and highly polished for a jam game!

That is unfortunate, we haven't heard of similar performance issues before. If it isn't too inconvenient would be able to try a different browser (also make sure graphics/hardware acceleration is on on that one too) to help us diagnose the issue.
We'd love to do what we can to sort it out so you can give it a proper go!
i tried on Safari, Brave, and Firefox. FF had less lag but still there, seemingly happens when i go to enter a different "area" - past the fence, into the room with the lever, through the mouth door. Hardware Acceleration on for all. i can try on Opera tomorrow and let you know - also if you ever happen to release a downloadable build, that would be great!
Spooky vibes. Softlocked myself like a dumbass in the initial puzzle because i put two balls in one hole lmao. Started over, got to the maze and then i discovered you could use the card props to boost yourself out of the map and then i fell off, right onto the entity skinny man, and shit myself and then got to scared to play again. Honestly great experience!
Hahaha, thanks for playing. You can actually put them all into the same one! So might not have been a soft lock, there's also a restart level button on the pause menu (tab) if you'd need.
Woah ha that sure sounds like a series of events.
If you're willing to give it another shot, there's still a decent bit of the game left, glad you liked what you did experience!
This game has such an awesome aesthetic style with a lot of distinct rooms which is quite awesome! I love how distinct each of the rooms are and how you guys made it feel so alive. As some other people mentioned here, the end part is a bit tricky for me to do but other than that, this was a well-polished game! Great work!!
I got to the end of the final level well my sister got me to the end of the final level cause she’s a lot better at faster pace games than I am, but this was before I found out the real way to get out of the little room was behind the boxes so now I need to try and convince her too get through the game to get to that spot again
Last puzzle was really something... that really got to my nerves - i had to drop from there.
But great work -- many congratulations to the entire team.
Great visuals. I was stumped at 'Push bar to open'. I didn't know what to do! Maybe I'll give it another go later on.
Thanks so much for playing, we really appreciate it! If you're talking about the first clown room then you might need to look around your environment more. If a door is locked there's usually a task to complete before you can open it! Totally come back to it if you have the time, there is a lot more left to the game past that level :)
Really great work! After each level, I was getting more and more surprised to see how many levels there are in the game. The last level though, it was frustrating due to how extremely tight each puzzle was, but I was able to complete it (Just wanted to flex)
