I really enjoyed this one, but the browser performance was the biggest thing getting in the way. The loading screen message was helpful because it set expectations. During play, though, I regularly experienced a noticeable pause when a room started getting attacked or when I finished a repair, sometimes with the music slowing down too.

I also had occasional camera snaps while running around.

Those interruptions were especially frustrating with how quickly an attacked room loses health. I would definitely appreciate a downloadable Windows version to try, along with some attention to those transitions.

The actual gameplay loop worked really well for me. Checking the phone, identifying which room needed attention, clearing out the creatures, and repairing the servers kept me moving. Having a different repair puzzle in each room helped give each trip some variety.

Room A’s wiring was probably my favorite. Seeing the wire trail out as I dragged between the colored connections was a really satisfying detail. It made that interaction feel good to use.

My other main criticism was how the difficulty increased across the four shifts.

The wiring gained more connections, the memory puzzle gained longer sequences, and the computer gained more bugs to click. By the last shift, I was mostly spending longer doing the same actions while the pressure increased around me. I would have liked some changes to how the repairs worked as well. Branching wires or combining colors could make the wiring more involved, for example. For the memory puzzle, I would have enjoyed patterns that used more of the six lights. A lot of mine repeated the same few positions.

I liked the low-resolution, PS1/N64-era presentation. The red rooms and pixelated fog worked particularly well once an attack started, and the creatures fit that look.

My browser initially wasn’t giving me any audio, so after completing the game I got sound working and played again. That made a big difference. The sound effects gave me useful feedback, and the music did a good job of keeping the pace up while I ran between rooms. I appreciated how much easier it was to understand what was happening with the sound working.

And the IT take on “it only comes out at night” was a great touch. Working a night shift keeping servers alive while those creatures tear everything apart gave the theme a fun, specific identity.

What I Liked

- The optimization of this game was amazing. I saw the text on the loading screen, but it must be wrong because I played this game on a crappy school Chromebook, and it ran perfectly (kinda)
- The gameplay is genuinely beautiful. I was on edge the entire time, trying to keep these servers afloat.
- The art style is amazing too! I love pixel art, and the way you translated it into 3D while making those little chomper guys so derpy was so cool!
- The intro cutscene and IT pun were good too. I think intro cutscenes are underrated.

What I Disliked

- There was a small bug where the music would get all choppy sometimes, and the game would freeze up a bit.
- I also play on a trackpad. I could tell the game was made for a mouse because a lot of the games were a lot harder. The bug squishing game had to be the hardest, I wish there was a way to tap on the screen to squish them.
- This isn't specifically a "Dislike," but in the last 2 nights, it would be cool if a new section like section "D" unlocked, I just think it would keep the gameplay fresh.

Overall, this game is amazing, and I genuinely see myself playing this in my free time. I think this game, however, doesn't really fit the theme of the game jam, but that doesn't change the fact that it's genuinely amazing. If this game had multiplayer and more content, I would buy it on Steam and play it with friends, and I could see it becoming a huge success!

The opening landed well, with the pun that IT always comes out at night, a night drive and then a first person server room with a gun in hand and a goal to fix all three server rooms. Walking the corridor felt tense. My constructive note is that the long Preparing combat effects load made the start feel stalled, so a clearer loading progress message would help.

Had fun playing this - got till the 3rd shift but the munchies got me! Really well executed for a 4 day jam, i loved the art, its quite unique and a refreshing change from the typical 3d assets! THe movement and combat felt very smooth and very less friction in getting to the puzzles and understanding the mechanics.

Overall the gameplay was quite satisfying and the difficulty ramp up felt nice! Great job on this :)

Working nights as a IT guy just fits the Halloween theme, right? I'm not saying this just because I made a game about IT guy being visited by a vampire-dentist last year. I really think the offices, server rooms, all that stuff is really spooky after everyone leaves.

So let's dig in! I loved the gameplay. Fast paced, frantic, but easy to understand. Difficulty escalated perfectly- on the last night I had multiple lights flashing (or should I say "tickets open") and it was pretty hectic! Cool!

Let's talk about presentation. I liked it when you posted the first screenshot on the discord and I like it now! The low-poly it-powerglove was really cool, phone too (although I don't know why is there an option to put it down- you need it all the time!). The sound effects and music were perfect- no notes here.

The final touch was the intro and outro!

Over all- I expected a lot from this team and you delivered! Keep it up!
