Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on the next episode of my horror series, Untold Cases. This one is a slow-burn murder mystery set in an old trailer park with a strange cast of characters. If you can imagine Fears to Fathom mixing with Firewatch, you're on the right track.

The game is called Untold Cases: Lot 42. You play as the new park manager taking over the grounds. Over the course of 7 in-game days, you have to juggle daily maintenance tasks and monitor the CCTV camera feeds at night. But as the week goes on, the mystery killings begin...

What I'm looking for (Game/Narrative Designer):

  1. Story & Characters: Design the overarching mystery, lore, and the people living in the park.
  2. Gameplay Flow: Map out the puzzles, daily tasks, and story beats (basically figuring out what the player is actually doing day-to-day and how the tension builds).

This is a paid position, ideally structured with a rev-share from Steam sales.

If you're into atmospheric, grounded horror and want to team up, hit me up here: https://www.alexlemesurier.com/contact

Cheers!

Hello,

I'm current working on the 2nd installment of my episodic horror series,Untold Cases (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4180550/Untold_Cases__Stillwater_Lake/) and I am looking for a Narrative/Game Designer to help shape the next chapter.

While the first episode (Stillwater Lake) established the atmospheric, low-poly psychological horror tone, this new episode scales up the narrative. It takes place in a trailer park over the course of multiple in-game days, requiring a heavier focus on character interaction and evolving objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Narrative Design: Crafting the overarching story, pacing, and multi-day game flow.
  • Character Development: Designing multiple compelling characters for the player to meet and interact with throughout the park.
  • Writing: Scripting engaging dialogue that fits the atmospheric, grounded horror tone.
  • Objective Design: Structuring clear, rewarding player tasks that drive the story forward naturally.

Compensation: This is a Steam Revenue-Share contract. The exact percentage is flexible and will be discussed based on your experience and the final scope of your input.

If you have a passion for atmospheric horror and narrative design, I’d love to hear from you. Please reach out via my contact form with your experience and links to any relevant work or writing samples: https://www.alexlemesurier.com/contact

Cheers

I’m a solo developer looking for a horror game designer to define the overall gameplay, pacing, and level design for a project already in development. You will not be coding or building anything. I handle all implementation.

The game is heavily inspired by Fears to Fathom with a focus on grounded, psychological, tension-driven horror. A playable demo is already available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4180550/Untold_Cases__Stillwater_Lake/

Your responsibilities:

  • Overall game design direction
  • Moment-to-moment gameplay and pacing
  • Writing and refining dialogue for radio conversations and NPC interactions during gameplay

This is a paid role, with compensation based on experience.

If interested, please email me your portfolio and availability - alexlemesurier@icloud.com

Hello,

I’m looking for a talented writer to craft the full narrative for my upcoming survival horror game, including in-game dialogue and branching story paths.

About the Game:
This is a first-person atmospheric survival horror experience set in an eerie, labyrinthine sewer system. The game draws inspiration from titles like Lost in Vivo for its psychological tone and Firewatch for its narrative style. Players uncover the story primarily through a handheld radio, engaging in conversations that evolve based on player choices, ultimately leading to multiple possible endings.

Scope of Work:

  • Develop the game’s overarching story and structure

  • Create and flesh out two key NPCs the player will interact with

  • Write the backstory and lore behind the enemy/antagonist

  • Design a branching narrative system, similar to Firewatch, with meaningful dialogue choices that impact story progression and unlock different endings

Details:
This is a paid, fixed-price contract. The rate is negotiable based on experience and scope.

If you're passionate about horror storytelling and creating immersive narrative experiences, I’d love to hear from you!

Hey, I’m a solo developer working on a horror survival game set inside a sewer system, and I need a game designer to help shape the vision. The goal is to create a 30-minute playable demo that captures the feel of the full game.

What I'm Looking For:

  • Someone to design the game's story and ensure the demo reflects it.
  • A plan for the game’s 3 act structure, from start to finish
  • Paper layouts for the demo’s map(s)
  • Design how the enemy works
  • The ability to work with existing assets, no custom models or animations
  • Designing the game flow for the demo (objectives, player movement flow etc...)

I’ll provide screenshots, a list of available mechanics, and other details to help guide the design.

If you love atmospheric horror, understand pacing, tension, and survival mechanics, and have ideas to contribute, I'd love to hear from you.

Send me a message with your rate and a bit about your experience: https://www.alexlemesurier.com/contact

I'm looking for a talented artist to create eye-catching Steam capsules for my first-person survival horror game. The game is set in a dark and grimy sewer system, where the main enemies are light-sensitive spiders.

Requirements:

  • Experience creating Steam capsules. Please share examples of your previous work.
  • Ability to capture the game's atmosphere and key elements (sewers, spiders, light/dark contrast) in the capsules.
  • A style that aligns with the horror genre.

Budget: $350

Hello,

I’m actively looking to work on some games and help where possible!

I’m an overall generalist, with multiple published games that you can check out on my portfolio (www.alexlemesurier.com)

I can do programming, design, store page help, play testing/QA with a keen eye for detail, and basic photoshopping.

I have good Unity & overall game development knowledge, from coding, design & QA. I also understand best practices for selling on Steam and how best to set up your store page.

I’m not looking for any free work, each job would be set at a fixed rate based on what you would like from me.
