hi! this is super unusual as it's the first time i've seen it happen, so i'll have to ask a bunch of questions to try and troubleshoot it...

-first of all, locate your folder by typing %localappdata% into the windows search (if you're using a different device somehow, please tell me!) and find the lottylife folder
or look for it manually in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\lottylife (replace <username> with your user)
-try to back up any saves you make progress in and see if they're still getting removed in real time while playing

now.. for the trial and error part:
-right click the folder itself or an empty spot inside of it and click properties, uncheck "read-only". if this doesn't fix anything, change it back
-run the game itself as administrator
-it may be kinda obvious, but if you're running the game from within the zip file then make sure to unzip it to its folder

i'm a bit late to this due to a power outage, but if you've solved it by now, also let me know so i can use the info to help folks out in the future!

was there an error? you can resolve it through brute force by typing %localappdata% into your windows search or navigate to wherever saves are stored on your device/setup, look for the lottylife folder, and delete everything in there.

that will delete your saves and settings, but you'll likely be able to play again (be sure to back up the files in the event that it doesn't fix the problem)

"Mobile port?"

No, but there's a small chance post 1.0 if I have a change of heart (please don't ask me about it). Emulators apparently work fine, just be careful where you get them from. I'm interested in Linux/Mac ports.

"Will you release free updates for every version?"

I will on a sporadic schedule, up until what feels like enough. (probably 0.51). Subscriptions are only $3.50, and you have options with sites!

"Will you release a guide?"

The final free version will get a guide. In the meantime, here's some tips...

• To melt the icicles, you can use Fire Jet which is obtained while exploring the upper eastern part of the forest then dropping down.
• Milly and Shadow must be encountered during nighttime.
• There's a secret boss that spawns a doorway in the treetops, towards the east.
• There are a lot of technical things you can do in the game, experiment if it's too challenging! (equipment, stats, try comboing normal/special/magic attacks together) Also, check the extra options in the main menu!

i don't have plans to set it up here for purchase until it's finished, sorry!

defeat all the bestiary bosses, go to the treetops east of cursed elves until you see a strange doorway. after that, use the challenge seed on the slime queen's door

it'll be a bit longer, whenever i update to 0.502 or 0.51

at night time, head all the way to the right past spira's home

yup, you can enable the mirror with lightning, and enter during nighttime

in the tutorial, did you counter the dummy with a melee attack? it properly unlocks the rest of the tutorial

i don't have any plans on making a mobile version any time soon. maybe when the game's finished!

i'm sorry to hear that!! i'm still trying to figure out what causes those issues for folks, i use an input library and may have to fumble with it. what controller do you have?

you can rebind your controls from the main menu :)

glad ya like it! i made it with gamemaker studio 2, and use aseprite for sprites

it's an option you can get just by talking to her enough times, it'll ask if you want her for yourself or share her. this is a one time choice every new game at the moment

the shroom house is currently inaccessible, you can find a key in Jingles' house while it's unattended if you decided to share Spira with her. that key is used for another door

your save should be compatible! if it's crashing, let me know what the error is. if you wanna back it up for later, you can find it in

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\lottylife

after all the bosses listed in the bestiary are defeated you can find a doorway to it above the froggi area and to the right of the cursed elves (the ones with huge dicks)

you're using a version that's ahead of the itch.io version, that's a pretty important detail to note! that's from the slime queen re-fight, you'll need an item called challenge seed for it which you can get from a secret boss in the treetops that is unlocked by defeating all the bosses normally

i'm glad you enjoyed it! that's the oni loss CG, the boss below the forest who uses ice attacks. you can respawn her with the orb to grab the CG or rush her on a new game

• when it's doing its melee attacks, stand inside of it since its hitboxes are around it
• when it shoots at you, back up and use a spell to reflect the projectiles
• when it tries to jump, you can hit it while it's mid-air in a few ways or try to reflect that projectile too

thanks! it's the only way to increase skill at the moment as a simple number reward for getting better at the game, and will be expanded upon in future updates :)

spira will have something to say about it when that happens, try going through her repeatable dialogue until lotty mentions ghosts

the game doesn't have a direct ending yet, but you will mostly be done when you have all of the animations and CGs unlocked :)
