Since you’re also inviting indie games, I’m sharing Diggy Little Dwarves on behalf of Portal Rabbit. It’s a dwarf-mining management demo: dig for gold and gems, grow your crew and upgrades, and deal with enemies deeper in the mountain.

It’s free to play in the browser, so no key or download is needed. Desktop is recommended. The demo is still in development and uses generative AI assistance. If mining and managing a growing crew sounds interesting, you can try it here: https://portalrabbit.com/games/diggy-little-dwarves/

For your free Twitch first-impression option, I’m sharing Primal Strain on behalf of Portal Rabbit.

Genre: creature-creation survival/strategy. Draw a creature, choose its stats and abilities, gather food and raise a brood against rival species. It’s a free browser demo in development, with generative AI assistance used in its creation. Desktop is recommended.

Useful things to test would be whether the creature editor and opening controls are clear, and whether the food/nest/brood systems make sense to a first-time player.

Hi Obbo — your interest in non-horror demos with room for humorous reactions made me think of Primal Strain. I’m sharing it on behalf of Portal Rabbit: you draw a creature, assign stats and abilities, then try to keep its brood alive against rival species. You can make some very odd creatures and see how they fare in the world.

It’s a free browser demo in development, with generative AI assistance used in its creation. Desktop is recommended, and playtime depends on the run. No download or game account is needed: https://portalrabbit.com/games/primal-strain/

If you’re still taking indie demo suggestions, I’m sharing Primal Strain on behalf of Portal Rabbit. You draw your own creature, choose its stats and abilities, then gather food, build nests and raise a brood while competing with rival species. The creature you draw is the one you play.

It’s a free, single-player browser demo, still in development and made with generative AI assistance. Desktop is recommended and there’s no game account or download: https://portalrabbit.com/games/primal-strain/

There are also dwarf-mining management and fortress-building swarm-survival demos if those sound closer to your interests: https://portalrabbit.com/game-demos

For your search for lesser-known games, I’m sharing Virus Survivors on behalf of Portal Rabbit. It’s a free browser demo that mixes active aiming and shooting with building and upgrading a fortress against enemy swarms, so it may suit someone who likes both action and defensive planning.

It’s in development and uses generative AI assistance. Desktop is recommended; no download or game account is needed: https://portalrabbit.com/games/virus-survivors/

For the browser-games-and-feedback request: I’m sharing these on behalf of Portal Rabbit. There are three free demos you can play without a download or game account:

Primal Strain — draw your creature, choose its stats and abilities, gather food, raise a brood and fight rival species.

Diggy Little Dwarves — grow a dwarf mining company, dig for gold and gems, and upgrade the crew as enemies appear deeper in the mountain.

Virus Survivors — active aiming and shooting combined with building and upgrading a fortress against enemy swarms.

All three are in development, use generative AI assistance, and save progress in the browser. Desktop is recommended. If one sounds like your kind of game, the demos and trailers are here: https://portalrabbit.com/game-demos

Hey everyone! I’m working on Primal Strain, a black-and-white species survival game.

You draw your creature, pick its stats and abilities, then control one member of the species. Your brood can forage, lay eggs, build nests, and fight alongside you. The planet is procedurally generated, and the other species have their own tricks, like poison attacks, orbiting orbs, and merging into bigger creatures.

The goal is to spread across the planet until your species is the only one left.

The free demo and trailer are here: https://portalrabbit.com/game-demos#primal-strain

It uses keyboard controls, and progress saves in your browser.

really fun game but unfortunately I keep breaking the game. There needs to be a button to force end the current drop. Destroying the balls doesn't work all the time.
