This was a nice game omg!

😭 I felt uncomfortable reading that other group chat, because I’ve been on that other end, seeing what people really think of you. That brought back some old memories of internet ‘friends’ doing this, but I felt a little relieved when everyone in that group chat all realized their mistakes and became more empathetic, and I liked that Kai was the one to defend the player character. Adam definitely reminded me of someone from my recent past who I thought was empathetic but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because in reality their coldness was just a result of their own mental issues (wasn’t AuDHD but a mental issue regardless).

In my opinion, it is a good thing that a game made me feel this.

Secondly, HOOOOOOOOWWWW did you do all of this in TWINE? One of my dreams is to make an impressive twine game, and I love phone games like this. How did you do all of this with HTML? It’s so smooth. The little wiggle animation. The stats, the interface! I wish I was proficient in HTML to make my email game look like an actual website. I know you don’t have to answer with all the libraries and codes you used but I am interested in the How. I also love the addition of achievements, didn’t know that was possible in Twine!

Lastly, I am glad your protagonist and the side characters all have ADHD. It makes me wonder how did they all find each other. It did feel a little overwhelming that they all had it, but again that’s a good thing. I have that too, so it’s really nice to see it up front and center in a Twine/cellphone game.

This reminded me of Sara is Missing and Simulacra, which are phone games I enjoyed too!

YAY thanks! I will upload the game once I fix it. I am trying to put finishing touches because something feels off with it (it’s a twine story).

As for those other jams, it’s possible to still generate submission links after rating! I saw the option in my own game jam :3 and even though those jams are over, I still really like those prompts you created and want to make something for them!

Dang it 😭 the jam ended. Is it still possible to submit? I’ve submitted before to jams that were over, or do you plan to run this specific world building jam again?

(I am nearly healed from that horrible situation I mentioned and can write almost properly again)

I really liked the nostalgia idea of this jam and would be a perfect reason for me to make a nostalgia-based story!

Oh my gosh I completely forgot to say thank you. I’m still dealing with this horrid situation with my wound but it’s getting better.

Even though the jam is in voting period, could I still get a late submission link? Or do I wait until after voting to submit? I more so want to submit to all these jams I told myself to commit to, because the ideas sound exciting! I have a perfect setting for this one.

That’s interesting. I’ve usually been able to submit when a jam was over because I would get a submission link.

I know that’s the point of the jam, but I do like trying to stick to the idea and themes of the jam and make something for it, even if it’s after the fact. I suppose I put too much value into the jams that I feel bad joining and not being able to create what I wanted for it.

Ah well. I can count this one as a loss. Life issues got in the way of this and others I joined.

hiii! I have a game I was meant to release last year but never did. All I managed to do was outline one route. I was thinking of fully refining it and building on that, and submitting to this jam, but the game page is old (there’s no game on it). Would it still be allowed?

I can’t remember if I asked this, but are late submissions allowed? I had a twine story I was working on for this, but I got bit by a pit bull at the vet and all the complications made me miss a lot of jams I joined. Am I allowed to submit late to this one? Even if it’s after voting? I don’t like leaving things I intended for a jam unsubmitted. Thankies!

Thank you for being much more nicer than AxelKay. I wrote this story-game within an hour, so it is not polished at all. I wished that was understood ;u; it’s not like my usual work due to how fast it was written.

On the word usage, I read so many differing opinions online about how to describe the male parts. In my older work, I used member/shaft/length, but I read that people hate these words, so I settled for vulgarity unfortunately. That particular word (c*ck) seems to be okay with most people, but I will definitely go back to using those other words I used to use.

Also, thank you for the emphasis tips. My older work was more like this, but I let the opinions of others change how I write sex scenes. I will try to write more like my old self!

About the choices, I sadly only had an hour left to submit, so I was unable to make the other mood choices. In its current form it is similar to a kinetic visual novel (linear).

Lastly, about the paid work, the price is temporary because it is in a bundle. I think it was required to have a price to be in a bundle. Once the bundle finishes it will revert back to Name Your Own Price. This is also why I linked to the blog where the bulk of Rin’s important lore exists :3

I’m so sorry this work that I speedran is your first introduction to my stories 😖 in order to not overwhelm myself with struggling to find words, I had to make this as basic as possible while keeping some flowery language. I am also not good at prose English, so poetry is my stronger area to describe things. Poetry allows me to use other ways to describe things, rather than being straightforward like prose.

I missed a lot of game jams cause of unexpected stuff and this is one of them. I really wanted to participate in this one, especially since I just finished one of my stories about my fave little gay dragon, but this jam is over ;-; will it run again?

Hiii! I write and draw primarily from iPad, so I was wondering, are twine games with illustrations allowed? I have one that I’m trying to finish before the jam is over! It would be kinetic (no choices)

It’s a little hard since twine doesn’t play nice on iPad but at least it isn’t completely unavailable like Renpy is. I wished I could make this an illustrated book instead
