Interesting question. I don't know.
Personally, I don't mind if a game is not printer-friendly, as I'd just play it digitally.

Since you had previously made puzzles for your idea, I think it'd be best to try out a new idea. Having an idea prior to the jam is normal, but if you made puzzles beforehand (even if you're not using those puzzles), its not really a jam game anymore.
In case similar questions come up... In general, if you're unsure if you've done too much pre-jam development, the answer is probably "yes, you did too much." Best to just start fresh.
