This is really good! Complex emotions. Wizard riddles (wizariddles). Blåhaj.

Yes, it did work this time. It's a nice story!

One more thing now though: When it ended and I clicked "back to menu", music started playing, which I assume was supposed to be playing from the beginning, but the first playthrough was silent. So you may want to look at that.

Still it's very thoughtful, and looks nice. Like a photo that's faded in the sun. Muted but not necessarily bleak.

This is really pretty, and an interesting idea, but it seems to stop working after talking to the guy with a hospital wristband.

Cute Forg. It's very noticeable when an animal is round and large.

Moody and a little surreal despite not actually being impossible. The drawings are nice.

This is a pretty kind of thing. Dreamy. Like a half-remembered lullaby.

(Internet Janitor and John Earnest are the same person, by the way.)

This is how they made the tiny books in Queen Mary's dollhouse. They had a little gnome in there going crazy with the guillotine.

Really pretty and thoughtful and evocative. Smells like ozone.

This is a cool way to present some writings. Really creates a contemplative mood.

This is a neat thing. Something about these real memories and complex emotions being tied to the gingerbread fellow. Feels almost like one of those childhood trauma demonstration dolls. But not that dark.

Cute cookie, though. Possibly haunted by Gary Busey.

Oh this is really good. Really cool style with the flat colors and limited palette. Makes me think of Dave Stewart and Jordie Bellaire.

This is a cool concept. This approach to incremental games with a series of narrative requests kind of reminds me of resource-based browser games like Fallen London, although I like this way of pacing it more tbh.

This is a neat idea, and well implemented. I like the plot diagram spread.

This is cool and elaborate. Very detailed. Pretty art. Decker seems well-suited to the Papers, Please/VA-11 Hall-A style of narrative customer service simulator. Also, thanks for providing a readable text version.

Oh this is very cool... A lot going on here. Feels like a complete drum thing. Boom doo bop doo bop bop doo bop.

Very pretty and mystical. A harmonious union of Myst and The Room (not the Tommy Wiseau one). The slider puzzle was very hard.

I have an idea I'm working on which is a heist story told through text, with inspiration from the cinematography of Steven Soderbergh and Saul Bass title sequences. So we'll see how that goes.

I was also thinking of doing something as a kind of shadow puppet show, so that may or may not happen during the course of this jam.

Let's chat about

chatWindow

This is a contraption that I made for a thing I did recently. It's a resizable window intended for chat logs, with white monospaced text on a black background.

The text shows up in black when you edit it, but if you change the color of the text it will be reflected in the window.

You can change the border if you like by just redrawing it on the prototype, but if you change the size of the border you might have to change the margins and/or resize the text field.

It doesn't have a scroll bar so... try to make the text fit in the box.

Inspired by Internet Janitor's macWindow and Faffotron's modification.

Thanks!

I wasn't exactly expecting to field press for this weird niche Decker thing, but I don't really have a reason to say no, so sure.

Thanks! Your skate video personality quiz thing helped inspire me to finally make this idea I had awhile ago. And yeah I guess you can do the magazine thing if you want.

This is maybe the fastest that fanfiction has ever been written about something.

Now a module! Try it out!

I was able to get it running much better by only copying the part of the source image I need, then scaling that to fit the destination, instead of scaling it first and then cropping.

each y in range imgy
  slicex:imgx/(((y/imgy)*(hs-1))+1)
  temp:img.copy[(0,y) (imgx,1)]
  img.paste[temp.copy[((imgx-slicex)/2,0) (slicex,1)] (0,y,imgx,1) 1]
 end

The moral of the story is: don't render 600,000 extra pixels for no reason and then throw them in the trash.

Hello! I am attempting to do some ~graphics programming.~

What I am trying to do is a SNES Mode 7 perspective effect: take an image from a canvas and scale it to a trapezoid shape for pseudo-3D.

This type of thing.

What I am doing is: first scale down the image by a scale factor vs.

img:src.copy[]
img.scale[1,vs]

And then go line-by-line and scale the image horizontally by a scale factor that starts at 1 at the top and goes to hs at the bottom.

each y in range imgy
  temp:img.copy[(0,y) (imgx,1)]
  temp.scale[((y/imgy)*(hs-1))+1,1]
  img.paste[temp.copy[(
   (temp.size[0]-imgx)/2
   ,0) (imgx,1)] (0,y) 1]
 end

I tried scrolling a canvas with Zazz and scaling that image onto another canvas in real time.

And this seems to work!

...But it doesn't run so well in web Decker.

(Hopefully you can tell from the gif.)

It seems like there's probably a more efficient way of doing this, maybe with matrix math, but I can't figure it out.

Thank you.

Really powerful mood. Feels like I hallucinated a zine.

Makes me think about how Love Park in Philly was completely razed to the ground and paved over with flat nothing ten years ago. But just this year, an authorized skate park opened at Muni with original pieces from the old Love Park.

C'est la vie. Ire aut mori.

Thank you! I hope so, too.

Thanks! The reason I haven't included a .deck file for this one is because a lot of the rest of the game is in there half-finished. I was planning to publish the .deck file for the finished game if/when I have that done. I suppose I could try removing everything unimplemented in the demo without breaking it and upload that file.

🥹 Thank you.

A magical experience... As if I have been transported to Valhalla...

That's such a cute photo...

This is really cool! Really strong aesthetic design. That face paint is precious.

I went to high school with a Dorf Samplemin. Do you think he's related to Janky?

This is really cool.

Neat!

Oh this is a really cool idea. What will baby say?

(Although "p-oh-m" makes a thought bubble that doesn't do anything.)

This is the future of camera.

Very sad.

This makes me feel like I'm working at a grocery store in space. 30 credits for an Antarean spice apple. Outrageous.

Thanks so much!
