Thank you! I remember playing a few other projects with the system as well. It definitely feels better and I know controller support has been something in the pipeline. I really do look forward to it! You did pretty darn well even without it!

I love the choice of tiles and color palette you went for! A few of the assets were a tiny mismatched, but overall I thought everything was well curated and put together nicely.
I think you did a good job revealing the story and pacing it with the gameplay. I didn’t feel like the controls were being taken away too often and that the cutscenes were delivered effectively.
I grew to like this cast quite a bit even in the short time we spent. I also like the variety of personalities you managed to show in such a short time!
I had a much better time with the combat system this time around, but I do feel like a lot of that was due to the extreme availability of recovery items. I know it’s a huge ask, but controller support really would help!
Hey hey! I thought you did a great job with the visuals and spared no details. It was great to look at this! I loved the animations, including the moving faces. I did find a few of the texts a bit difficult to read, but overall the aesthetics were lovely.
The story did have a few pacing issues. Towards the end of the game I thought it was transitioning into another one of the animations, but it turned out to be the end! SO. In a sense, I suppose I was hoping for more, haha! Very cute characters, intriguing setting.
Good job on getting this all done so quickly! Thank you for entering the jam!
Thanks for telling me about Build B! Just played through it. Expanding the number of candy canes is a wonderful decision so I can interact with even more of the townsfolk! Very much in the theme of spreading cheer.
Perhaps this would complicate things a bit and make the game bigger than necessary, but a potentially interesting idea if you ever expand on this entry more… could be an ability to turn the scrooges around. Kind of like the joy in the town is contagious once you level up enough.
Finally got to see the ending which I think wrapped up the themes and ethos of the game perfectly. Even though Rosie was giving gifts, the game very much focuses on gift giving being an action well beyond the physical objects.
Along with the bug fixes, Build B amplifies everything I enjoyed about the initial release, which was the very realized setting with a fully formed Christmas tradition.
All-in-all, I would genuinely recommend this game to anyone looking for a quick jolt of Christmas spirit.
