Pg 85 - It states that I'll be rolling dmg for the spider, but then shows a static dmg # rather than a die #.
P 32 - it says Holly Water, rather than Holy Water.
In using the daily spreads, I find that I frequently forget to check the little quest box with things like, "Complete 3 tasks before equipping an item." Because it's on the bottom of the right hand page and we read starting at the top left, by the time I get over to that, I've already done whatever the thing is that it wants me to wait for. You could swap the two pages in the daily spread, but then that puts the scheduling area on the left hand side, which can be awkward to write on in a bound journal. Putting it on the same page as the quest messes up your formatting over there. So, I don't know that I have useful feedback on this, so much as just pointing out a bit that doesn't seem to work as intended.
That is a lot clearer. When trying to figure it out just from looking, I thought that it was 4 sets of boxes, with a tall one and a short one working as two pieces for one party member. It makes sense that the pets get the small spaces and the followers get the big spaces, but my brain fully didn't see that until this explanation.
And I want to give enthusiastic support for the stickers. I was actually thinking as I wrote down my first follower, "It would be cool to just have a sticker to plop in this box so I could have the nice art there." And I love that they'll be provided for the digital version too.
Before you get this explanation put anywhere resembling permanent though, your last sentence seems to have an extra word. "can will" Or maybe you meant to include an "and" in there. I don't know. It could be fixed a half dozen ways and it's just a grammar nitpick for what is the equivalent of an early draft.
p. 62 I'm questing along and get a pet. It says review the rules for pets. I am struggling to find the rules for pets. Is it really just the one sentence in the Party Members section? So they get written down as a party member? What do I write in the boxes on the sheet? There aren't really any instructions for the character sheet pages at all. Which is fine for the spaces that are just for recording how many you have of something. But is a little less fine for spaces that might hold other information.
As an aside: I didn't know it when it started, but June was the perfect month for me to playtest this thing. It's been so many fires to put out, that I don't have a lot of brain power left to figure things out on my own (even if they aren't that complicated and should probably be fairly easy for someone who's been playing TTRPGs since 2e D&D to just decide what makes sense). Which means every time I have to look up a rule, I'm as dumb as I can possibly manage. And that makes it easy for me to just be like, "Well, that's not very clear." Which will hopefully pay off for the future people using this journal with a lot less TTRPG experience.
I homeschool and my husband works 6 days a week, so my weekends tend to be just as busy or busier than my week. When I set up my weeklies in my bullet journal, I give every day the same amount of room. But I tend to do more of a dashboard weekly, with tiny boxes to write events and dinner plans in, then a lot of free space for daily notes as the week goes on. I don't normally have a daily page when I'm making my own. But I don't see how you could skip a daily with what you're trying to achieve.
My only recommendation would be to split the week over the two pages, and give the dotted notes section the same amount of space as a day. So it would give you symmetrical pages with 4 spaces on each page. I can provide pictures of my personal planner where I've done that, though it obviously wouldn't have the quest stuff on the page.
I just went down the list of enemies, starting at the top. But I let each one in an encounter attack me each round until they were dead. This may have been harder than intended though. It meant I couldn't attack the harder enemies first, but they were attacking me the whole time. And that might explain why I'm almost constantly on the brink of death.
I also found the rules for combat slightly vague when it comes to multiple enemies. Do I fight them one at a time? Do I roll and attempt to attack all of them in each round? Do I attack one, but they all attack me? I sort of just decided how I wanted to do it and went with it for the sewer rat encounters, but it would have been nice to have more guidance on that, especially if I weren't someone with RPG experience.
I found a couple things in the front materials and I have the first month printed out and pasted into my planner for playtesting.
p. 7 - Chrono-Grid: The quote seems unfinished and is missing an end quotation mark.
p 8-9 - Play Modifier: One of the rectangles on the top of the left page in the weekly spread is indicated as being a Play modifier. But when I scrolled through, none of the weekly pages have a play modifier there. Are we supposed to create these (I didn't see any indication of that), or did you forget to create them there? There are also play modifiers on the daily pages, so I don't know if maybe you decided to move them but then forgot to delete them from the weekly example.
