Late reply, and you're owed one, not a like.

You and one other player both hit the same wall: the page promises no fail state, and then the plant dries out and the screen tells you to try again. That contradiction is mine, and so is not making it clear whether it was the plant or the cloud that ran dry. Both are the first thing I'm changing.

The link: sorry, that was on my end. It should work now, https://mani-lands.itch.io/bloom - if it still doesn't, tell me what it says and I'll chase it.

You played on mobile, which is useful on its own.

On the trade: you said not to finish Dualspace, so I'll go at the UX instead. First few minutes, where I hesitate, where a control isn't obvious, in the same format. Give me a couple of days.

Thanks for taking it seriously enough to name the seconds. That's the only kind of note I can actually use.

You're right about both dips, and you're the second player to catch the same contradiction: the page says there's no fail state, then the plant dries out and the screen says "tap to try again." Both can't be true. I'm cutting the contradiction this week, along with the grey cloud that stops raining for no visible reason. That silent stop is the exact ten-second loss you named.

The closing flower is fair too. Reaching it should mark itself. I'll hold it open a beat and count it, so letting go afterwards can't undo the win.

I'll take the second pass on Dogam, same format back: where I stopped, no verdict. Give me a couple of days.

Good. Cutting the setup is the right first cut: one click, then the letter after the first capture, not before it. Send the new build and I'll take the second pass.

Mine: https://mani-lands.itch.io/bloom (browser, ~20s, no install). Fair warning: it's tiny, one drag and a hold, and it is the exact thing I'm trying to break. Tell me the second you stopped caring, not whether it's nice.

I made a small one-screen thing. You drag a rain cloud over one wilting plant; when it has had enough water it blooms. That is the whole game, about 20 seconds, no install. I am not asking whether it is good. I am trying to find where it loses people, so two specific things: 1. In the first three seconds, does anything ask you to do something? Or do you just look at a plant and a cloud? 2. After the first bloom, is there any reason to keep going? Right now it is one drag and an 18 second hold, and "plant again" resets the same layout. I think that is the weak part. Play: https://mani-lands.itch.io/bloom Happy to trade. I will play yours start to finish and tell you the exact second it lost me. I just did that for another game on this board (Deulsup Dogam) and it is a better currency than a nice comment.
Only got through the opening, so take this as first contact, not a full read.

The hook works. "Your missing grandfather left you a zoo gone to seed and a guide with its back pages torn out" is a clear want plus a mystery, and I clicked Head out on purpose.

Where I almost left: the setup wall. Save slot, then name, then difficulty (three options), then the guided-start toggle, then a three-page inheritance letter I have to page through. All of it before I touch the slingshot. The first animal is the game. Everything in front of it is paperwork. If the letter has to be three pages, give me one line I can act on and let the rest unlock as I play.

Second, smaller: the guided-start overlay says 13 steps. That number is a warning, not a welcome. It tells me the game already expects me to need help before I have seen anything.

I would play more before calling the pacing boring or not, so I am not answering your actual question yet. If you want a second pass on the loop itself, I will take it. I make a small browser playable too (one screen, drag a rain cloud until a plant blooms) and I trade cold reads with other devs, so if you want to swap, I am in.
