Hey T-ruth, thanks for the comment :)

I'm happy that you are a fan of Arcade Space Survivor, I'm working hard on the next update and also focusing on releasing a steam demo.

What's your rank on the leaderboard?

Also thanks for the feedback. It was a joyful break creating another game.

love the idea. there is so much potential. I would love to see you expand on it!

However, I often felt out of control, not knowing when the time runs out or when the level restarts and the timer automatically starts running. The timer could have a progress bar - strong visual and audio feedback.
I also thought about a timer that only runs while you're moving?! You could let the player hold a button to let time pass while standing still - this would give the player more control shifting the focus more on the puzzle rather on a speedrun.

Really cool game! Let me know if you keep developing it!

I'm really impressed. Such a simple, charming, and fun game!

Great use of the theme. I like how each level feels unique and surprising. Awesome how much levels you created in this short time. I especially liked the level that broke the 4th wall by going into the counter!

Some feedback: I usually play with WASD. A little soundtrack would be nice. More feedback for when the counter goes down - char sprite flashes once or the counter itself. How about a little easter egg in the last level - if you exit the game window to the right via the pipe there is a hidden level :)?

Had a lot of fun playing. :)

The small number collisino detection is a known issue, I added a crosshair which indicated when a numbe is clickable.

I like the idea with special abilites - I thought about PowerUps which give you a little advantage for a short time. Auditiv Ping sound like a good PowerUp, but than 3D audio is required - so maybe combine auditiv ping with some visual direction hint :)

Hey Sparky, thanks for the kind comment :) I'm always happy to receive feedback, so thank you!

You're  right - I had the same issue with the shift-key. I will add the right mouse button and Ctrl as alternative sprint key.

I had nearly no time to playtest the game's difficulty on my own, and one of my playthroughs gave me the same impression. Unfortunately, it was already too late to change the order of the levels. I will add new levels and tweak the current ones.

The hit detection is a bit weird in general, even with the normal-sized numbers. I already added a simple crosshair that indicates when a number is in range.

The Update will follow next weekend! The game will receive only one after jam update, because I want to get back to my main project!

Thanks again for the feedback! I'm really glad you liked the game. :)

Thanks for the comment :) It was really fun making it a juicy as possible. I used FEEL for this and tried to make everything pop :)

I had a few things in mind but not enough time left. I've created Scriptable Objects which define the Game Settings (number count, number colors, number speed/waittime, number size, timer). With those settings I created a few levels but I had more ideas such as: Different Maps, PowerUps (showing the direction towards your target number for X seconds. Even faster Player Speed + Jumps, Freezing all Numbers)

You are right. I just disabled the GameObject which holds the Mobile Controls (it was an annoying overlay). I have already created a handler which checks for the Platform and disable/enable them - will be in the updated version after the voting endet :)
I will release one more update -maybe with a global leaderboard so people can run for the highest score. However, I'm gonne focus on my main project afterwards!

Thanks :) I took the theme literally! But it works very well with the numbers^^
The music was made by a friend!

Thanks for playing. I'm happy that you liked it. I may add a few more levels and some more features :)

Thanks :)

Really cool game.
Damn flies!

Really cool game :)

Water cooler has eyes!

Thanks for your feedback! I’m glad you enjoy the game :) What’s your current rank?

There’s a slight slowdown after closing the upgrade menu, but I’m planning to add a short freeze and a sound for resuming game.

Each update will improve the balancing and also improve the wave system! It's interesting how important such little tweeks are!. The next update will include a completely overhauled upgrade system with probabilities, rarities, and rewards for Exp/Level streaks.

Thanks for playing :)

Heyo, Machine Gun sounds good, I will add one :)

I'm actually not sure which color was for hours (it might be red)

I'm sorry to hear that. The game uses 'DateTime. Now', which uses the local system time!

Im not sure what causes this issue.

Yes it is. It's using the time of your System (PC).

Random

Looking promessing!

I just took some time to write down some feedback:

  • The Timer should stop after killing the last enemy. This gives you time to explore the room.
  • Less interface. Stats (Damage, Attack Speed etc.) could be shown on the inventory menu under stats tab! Make it smaller - maybe the timer as a progressbar too!
  • Breaking things with E feels weird. Also add a "Gold" VFX after breaking. It always feeled like the pots are empty.
  • Gameplay: More attacks/weapons would be nice. I never used the block! I could not figure out how close I have to come to an enemy to damage it - maybe make the crosshair become red when in range!
  • I always used the "hard" way - it's still to easy. You could add way more enemies, maybe a little more space for the fights and more enemy types (some which can only be hurt on the back, or special movement)
  • Traps and obstacles would fit very well!

Is there an ending currently? because the time just run out and the game ended...

Nice little game! Would love to gain some upgrades or new weapons!
Also a online highscore would be nice!

Hey, thanks for playing :)

Hey, thanks for playing :)

Thanks for playing :)

They will now spawn in a very late wave, feel free to test the game again :)

Hey ma friend, thanks for the comment!
I'm happy you liked the game and to read your lovely comment.
Thanks a lot :)

Thanks for the comment and feedback :)

The max/current scale numbers (UI) not showing the right numbers is a known issue and already fixed (update after voting-phase)

Really impressive work. The game looks awesome, is polished and the theme is good used: 5/5!

A few suggestions for further improvement:

  • Logo Redesign: Consider using a white font with a black outline. The 'L' could be styled as a snake!
  • Countdown Timer: Add a countdown at the start or start the game with the first input.
  • Dynamic Game Over Screen: It looks a little static currently. Include more stats like "Blocks Destroyed," "Distance Traveled," "Longest Tail," and so on.
  • Upgrade System: Maybe some survivor-like upgrade system where players earn Exp to enhance their snake with better parts.

New Snake Parts Ideas:

  • Chainsaw Block: Allows the snake to destroy enemy blocks when passing through them.
  • Directional Damager: When this block changes direction, it damages a 2-block-wide area around it.

Well done :)

Really creative concept. I always enjoy games which play with the perspective of the first person camera!

Awesome little game! The gameplay feels great, and the effects are really juicy! ^^ I'd love to see some bullet time or at least a frame freeze when you hit an enemy! Power-ups, new enemies, new (simple) levels—so much potential!Great job^^

Thanks for the comment and feedback :)

I'm also not a fan of the controls and gonne rework them!

Thanks for the comment :)

The first levels serve as tutorials to teach the mechanics.
The last level is the first true puzzle of the game, offering a glimpse of how the final version would look and function.
I might update the game after the voting phase and add a few more levels!

I'm a huge fan of the overall visuals in games and what can be achieved with post-processing in Unity.
I might update the game after the voting phase and add a few more levels. :)

Nice :)
