Thanks for the kind words!
Yeah, I'm planning a rework/expansion of the adventure that will include a significantly expanded map (Foundry compatible) but this was my first stab at Appendix N and I learned a lot about the degree to which the tight page count left me with execution struggles. Next year....

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, I'm hoping to build this out with a few more pages for more description and more story. My idea was that the wizard had almost enough magic stored up to rise and then the mother started draining it, so he spent his reserves on possessing a monkey before she drained him entirely. He's philosophical about it; you win some, you lose some. At least he'll get some banana time once the mother is dealt with....
Thanks for the feedback! This was my first time working to this small a format/page count and I definitely went overboard on text efficiency. In retrospect, I should have skipped or drastically shrunk the surface map and reclaimed that space for more text, which would have left me more room to address your other complaints and also to really get the wizard's ghost more fleshed out.
(I'm planning on fleshing it out more into an 8-12 page Dragonbane module with separate map files. 4-page A5 is tight, especially since I wanted to include the mutation table and the bestiary.)
I got the chance to play this at Between 2 Cons in Portland and it was an absolute blast! Players from other tables kept walking over to see what all the whooping and hollering was about. Work the crowd, work your opponent, and build up heat to prep your finishing move— but watch out for the reversal!
I like to use donjon.bin.sh to generate maps, especially cave maps, and then import them into the map editor. Works great except that the imported file uses square walls instead of cavern walls so I have to manually fix the walls if I don't want the map to look like something out of an Atari 2600.
Because I'm lazy, I figured I'd save the file, pop open the JSON, and see if it were possible to do some sort of batch update with a text editor, but I'm having trouble figuring out the JSON and thought I'd ask if there are any existing resources before I tried to poke at it more.
