Seeing how much there was, I like your brick design, I had to take a second look to noticed a pickaxe was thrown. Also, great job for submitting this with the short development time you had!

I liked the concept, pinball my way around. The difficulty was very challenging for me to get the correct angles for moving into the next room. I at least made it to third room on the left and right of the starting point. I ended up soft-locked at the center of the second room towards the left before quitting.
I liked the art of the level. The controls felt nice as I navigated towards the balloon. Seeing how returning an artifact gives an ability, I was thinking there was an ability intended for the large enemy because jumping on top of one only worked on the small enemy. Also, good game entry for being unfinished too!
I liked how the island gets crowded over time and it gives the feeling of being the first take the treasure. Moving into the next day made it more challenging—I recalled one of the days had an island with more narrow areas to navigate around and there were a few enemies launching projectiles at me! Also, I liked how the increased quota made the game replayable!
Before playing I looked at the game's page and I liked the page design having all I need to know there. After playing for a few minutes, I found the few types of enemies didn't have me unforce by memorizing attack patterns—and I liked the attack pattern of the elites being an expansion of the original. Also I liked how I can still differentiate the enemy sprites when clustered together.
I never played Evil Residen >:) but I played the first three Onimusha games (Resident Evil Spin-off—done so well that Onimusha became its own series) having similar mechanics to Malevolent Tenants. I remember playing with tank movement and the fixed camera angles—these two things require skill! I love moving in reverse! Also, interesting background on the PC.
Recommend getting Onimusha: Warlords (2019) whenever it is on sale which is on sale at this moment. Hopefully, Capcom finally decides to remaster the rest of the series so you can see the difference in the digital movement to the analog movement introduced in Onimusha 3 for tank controls while maintaining fixed camera angles.
