Thank you, I appreciate it! I'm very happy to hear you liked the art :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the game and you're very kind to leave a comment :)

Awesome, thanks a lot! I enjoyed watching the video. I liked how open minded you were about the games and that you gave them all your best.

I'm impressed how well you solved the puzzles in my game. It can't have been easy doing it while streaming and after already having played games for nearly three hours!

In the video you asked about which engine I used. As you speculated, it's my own little engine that has slowly taken shape over the years I've been doing game jams. It's quite limited in many ways but it works well for me since I know it so well by now. And I guess in a way the limitations help me with not scoping the games too big. Here's a screenshot of how this game looks in my editor.

Take care and thank you so much for the coverage on your stream :)

Thank you, that's very kind! Sorry I didn't get to yours before the rating ended. Really enjoyed it!

Is there a video from the stream somewhere? I would have loved to see you play my game :)

Really cool game! I love the style and the concept. The visuals and the music created a great atmosphere. The lighting and the fog helped a lot with the mood of the city. Really liked the design of the main character as well!

It was tuned slightly too difficult for me I think. I don't play 3D platformers that much so it might have been a skill issue, but I would have liked the timer to be a bit more generous. The gameplay was very fun, searching for the cameras and destroying them, but I was too slow to find them all. I never managed to beat wave two.

Anyway, great game, really tight and well made. And a very cool concept. Splitting the screen into different video feeds like that was brilliant.

Wow, thank you for the detailed explanation! The composition of the images was great so I figured you must have spent some effort getting it right, really cool to see behind the scenes. Looking forward to seeing where you take the game in the future!

Thank you snuupy, that's very kind! I appreciate you taking the time to try my games and for writing such a nice comment. Making games is a big passion of mine and it means a lot to hear someone enjoyed playing them :)

I hope you're having a great day. Thank you so much for the encouragement!

(1 edit)

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the game 😁

Great suggestion with the stones on the door, I definitely agree with you on that.

And thank you for spotting the mistake with the submission. You’re right, I missed the ”not” in the question, haha 😆 I’ve fixed it now

Thank you Lucas! I really appreciate it. Hope you’re doing well 😊

That’s very kind! Thank you for the nice comment ☺️

Thank you!

That was great! I really enjoyed it!

The visuals were awesome and quite creepy. I love the camera angles, they were so good and added a lot to the strangeness and creepiness of the whole environment. The interactions were strange, but in a very unsettling way which I think added a lot to the atmosphere.

I found it to genuinely be quite scary, and the ending gave me a proper jump scare, haha. Great job on the game.

P.S. I love that they live on Placeholder Street XD

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

Ah, that's a good point! I'm guessing you looked at the clues only after you had found the idol. I hadn't thought of that, haha. I agree, then the trust part didn't quite make sense for you. Thanks for letting me know, that's great feedback.

Thank you! Sorry about the maze. I should probably have made it clearer how to get out. It's good feedback, thank you! I see what you mean with getting overwhelmed with roaming freely around an area. That's also good to keep in mind for future games, I appreciate it.

A really cool twist on the game! Good use of the theme to spice up a classic game. I liked the variety in tile effects. It made each game play out quite differently depending on which ones you got subjected to.

The clue/gun concepts work really well. It was great to have the option of investigating bugged tiles but sometimes I just had to shoot blindly XD

I really like the idea and found the game to be attractive and fun to interact with. Being able to select where to put characters was a fun mechanic.

I had some trouble really getting things rolling though. I played for forty minutes I think, and never really got far in the upgrades. The characters I bought left after a while so I had to buy new ones.

guess there probably was some strategy to making lots of money fast but I never found it. I'm guessing it was related to the upgrades that multiplied coins after winning rounds/games? There was a risk/reward element to that, in that your opponents could steal it. I enjoyed that element!

It was a well made and clever game, but I would have need some more guidance on tactics for to really play it well.

Thank you, I’m glad you liked the game! 😁

Haha thank you andre3k! That's very kind, thank you. Likewise, your game was great!

Great game, I really enjoyed it! It looked great and there's so much attention to detail with all the little animations and sound effects, it felt really immersive!

At first, I had a bit of trouble since I misunderstood the rules. I think the text in the description confused me. When I found the hint in the game, it all fell into place. That's on me though! The game was really clever and well designed, I just failed to look around properly at first. XD

A very stylish and interesting game, really cool! And just the right level of creepy.

Thank you Lilam! I'm happy you liked the art!

Sorry you got lost in the maze. You can get out by just taking one step back, but I realize now that it might not have been very clear. Thank you for mentioning it.

Dave was terrifying!

It was a fun and well made tower defense game, very engaging! I liked figuring out what the different units did and how to place them. I really liked using the ice towers to slow enemies down.

I think the balance was a bit on the easy side. I played until level 14 and by then it felt like nothing could get through. I might have missed some more difficult enemy if there were any introduced later?

Nice graphics, especially the enemy sprites. I think the level looked like a fish!

Thank you! ☺️

Thanks for taking the time to play the game, I'm glad you liked it!

Great take on the theme! I love the trust mechanic, it works very well and there's a nice balance between managing combat power and trust. The game felt very polished, with good looking and clear UI. I know how hard that is to get right, so congratulations on that XD

I really appreciate that you included the different speed settings for the combat, it was fun to be able to set it to x4 and see the fights play out in ultra speed!

Cool combination of characters and items, there's a lot of depth to the tactics. I didn't place very high on the leaderboard unfortunately, even after several attempts. But it was very fun to try, great that you included one.

Haha thank you! I appreciate it! :)

Thank you so much David, that's very kind! I'm happy to know you liked the game.

I really appreciate the summary of your play, it helps a lot to get some insight from the perspective of a player. I agree with the issues you raised. I had some time before the deadline (for once) so I managed to fix the problem with the keys/locks being too similar. Thank you for mentioning it. I've added your name to the list of thanks in the credits screen :)

Getting help with translations sounds fantastic. I'd love to translate this game if you're up for it. There's not that much text so I think it should be feasible. Would you mind sending an email to vidar (at) vidarnel.se and we can discuss details?

Haha, what a funny take on the theme! The animation of the player character is great!

It's cool how you managed to make such a variety of levels out of only a few mechanics, very well designed!

Awesome! Very impressive making a procedural puzzle game. I'm interested in how you solved the problem of generating fun and challenging levels, without making them impossible. I think you did very well on that front. The levels were quite varied but still followed a nice difficulty progression.

The graphics are were cool and well designed, and with nice effects. And the soundtrack fit the game very well. It all felt very polished

So clever! I really like your games. Perfectly paced, very funny and a great commentary on dark patterns in games and apps.

Great work!

Thank you for the kind words! Im glad you liked the game, thanks for playing!

I’m traveling and unfortunately don’t have access to a computer at the moment so I’m not sure I will be able to play your game in return before the deadline of the jam. Really sorry!

Hi! Thank you for playing the game! That’s a great question. It is intentional, but the reason is perhaps not explained enough.

Haha, same here! There’s so much to learn about making art. It’s obvious from the assets that you have talent, looking forward to seeing what you make in the future

Super cool! I loved the art and the music. The characters are so charming!

It was very fun to play and well balanced. Really cool to be able to zoom out to see the whole star system.

Well designed puzzles and level layout. It was fun to play!

The art was nice! I like the design of the main character, it was very cute and I love the way it was animated. The background art was bit distracting at first. Perhaps if it was a darker shade it would have helped the character and platforms stand out a bit more? I find using less contrast for backgrounds usually work well.

The flight mechanic was fun and I liked exploring the level and figuring out the puzzles.

Lovely! What a sweet little game. I really enjoyed it. I found it a bit sad but also very beautiful.

The art was splendid, I really liked the chunky 3D look and the little animations. I like the lighting and the composition of the scenes, especially the last one with the ceiling fan.

Fun concept and well executed. Perfect length and level of challenge. Very well done!

Awesome, what a masterclass in game design :D The way the timers work together is just brilliant. Extremely clever concept and above all, super well balanced. Very fun to play!

That's so kind, thank you!

This was very well made! The story element was engaging and told in a nice way. Cool how deeply you managed to integrate it with the game. The graphics and sound fit super well and had a nice atmosphere to them.

It was very fun to brew the potions, I like the concept of having to follow recipes. At first I didn't understand that you could use the timers at the bottom at the screen XD But as soon as I got it things became much easier.

Thank you moshromy! I appreciate it :)

Hahaha, this was so much fun! :D

I love the concept, the shrimp chef having to avoid being cooked is brilliant. Nice with the little cutscene in the beginning to explain the concept. The music and the graphics are so wonky and fun.

I had a strategy and a very organized approach in the beginning, but it quickly turned into mayhem (as I'm sure was intended). It was very funny when everything started to go wrong.
