The art is gorgeous, it looks like pages from an old storybook. The writing fits it really well too, and the whole thing has a quiet, ritual-like feeling that I really enjoyed. A really unique take on the theme. Congrats!

This one stayed with me after I closed it. The pixel art is gorgeous, and the little animations make everything feel alive. Combined with the music and the soft sound effects, it felt like a quiet night by the water. I loved that every catch brought a bit more of the story with it, it gave me a reason to keep going one more time. You can feel how much care went into this. Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you, and you’re right about fullscreen! It doesn’t scale properly yet. I’ve already fixed it, and the fix will be up after the jam. I put a lot of love into the sound, so I’m happy you noticed it. Mobile is harder, because the game needs mouse and keyboard for looking around and the lantern, but I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks for playing!
Thank you so much for playing and for such a detailed comment! I’m really glad the lantern and the dark house worked for you. You’re right that the goal isn’t clear enough at the start, and I’ll work on that. A few tips if you want to try again:
- Explore every room and click on things. Some of them are memories, and you can see the ones you’ve found with Tab.
- Blow out the lantern! Many memories only reveal themselves in the dark, but don’t stay in the dark too long…
- The night repeats. Each time it does, the house changes and new memories become available.
- When someone knocks at 3:33, go to the door. What you remember changes what you can say, and how the night ends.
Thanks for the honest feedback, it really helps!
