Pretty well balanced. Wasn't a breeze but wasn't impossible once you learned enemy movements and attacks. Not entirely sure where the fractured story fits into the game but maybe I missed something. Is the fractured story the enemies representing the past? The controls on keyboard are a bit weird but workable. Overall feels easier to get into than dark souls but a similar feeling when learning a difficult boss. Nice game.

I would say the start is a bit rough with the text walls and not fully understanding the mechanics of this card battler game. But after that it's fairly enjoyable. I found the game a little bit too easy as I was never in danger of dying and had full health most of the playthrough. I also skimmed most of the text so I certainly didn't get the full story nor the full theme of the game jam in my playthrough. Perhaps the story could be incorporated more than just the texts between fights. A little bit of visuals with snippets of the text could help more players engage more fully with the story and theme of the game. For example, one part mentioned an abandoned ship and you had the choice of rummaging around or leaving undisturbed could be a visual like the battle scene but instead of battling cards you could click on what you want to do like raid the ship or leave it. Again, the gameplay itself was fairly enjoyable if a little bit easy.

Pretty neat short game. I loved the audio in it and the very simple background music. Rough at the start because I didn't know that z and x were the interact buttons for everything but after that it was just the right amount of interaction. Not sure if I just didn't understand the story but seemed slightly cliche? Overall good game though, pacing felt right and nothing too drawn out. Good job for this being your intro into programming!

I feel disturbed. Nice.
