Download the above file, then extract into your mods / dialogue folder to make available in game. You'll need to either have used Lore Master or enabled Mods from directly in-game to make the folder appear in the game's save files.

The colors being what they are were only selected like that for a silly mane 6 reference, and they're definitely being changed in the next update to stand out a lot more!

Thank you so much! It's definitely been going slower than I initially would've hoped for, but I won't be stopping until the game can release in its entirety. You can follow here on itch, or any of the game's other social media for progress updates and news about the next public builds.

The only thing I can think of is that it was in the middle of a save when your laptop died, and now the data in there is only partially intact. What I would recommend to do for now is go to Settings > General > Show Save Data, and copy the entire game's save folder as a backup, then go back to the game and delete all data.

If that still doesn't work, try manually deleting the entire save folder in Windows Explorer (Should just be named something like "Tales From the Herd"). When you boot up the game again, it will automatically create a fresh folder again.

Lol I'm glad you're enjoying the outfits! I've been digging around on these bugs, and have a few questions if you don't mind.

- First, the dialogue error. Does it look like this in game for you?

I ask because there is technically a space there, the 'j' just seems to be extending over into the 't's territory because of the italics. If the 'j' is even closer for you, it may actually be a larger issue, because there is definitely a space in Ticket Master's script.

- Second issue I was going to tell you I couldn't recreate, but this seems to be one of those annoying bugs that doesn't show up in Unity, but does show up in the final build. I will look into it.

- Third issue I think has been fixed, assuming this was because you had your map open when Violet Spade actually gave you your pencils.

- And finally, not being able to jump while moving up is definitely not intentional behavior, and I haven't been able to recreate it. I would suggest try rebinding your "up" move key to a key you know works with jumping – e.g., if you can jump while moving down (pressing S) put the "up" input to S, then try jumping while moving up. If it works then, it may be a weird keyboard quirk. I only say this because one of the keyboards I tested did have an issue with not letting me slide when pressing 'W' and 'D' simultaneously. 

Hey Tarry – I was taking some time to spam the menu and map open and close recently, and could not recreate this particular bug. It's on the bug tracker, but I won't be able to fix it until I can consistently trigger it. Is that the exact input sequence you used? Open map (not in draw mode) > open pause menu > close pause menu? Thanks.

Noted; I've fixed the issue with the water particles that won't go away, and will soon be investigating the butt scoot anomaly. Thanks!

Development is going steady but I don't want to put a date on anything I'm not 100% sure I can hit.

While there are no plans for dating mechanics, the friendships you make in the game will be a central design pillar; and as you grow closer to these ponies, you will learn about their motivations, backstories, and eventually secrets.

Yeah I think that has become something of a lost art. Well I mean, not entirely, obviously the Soulsbourne genre has been very much keeping the convoluted no hand-holding game design philosophy alive – but you're right, I think Animal Crossing is a perfect example of games generally trending away from being worlds to explore, and worlds for the player to control every aspect of.

Thank you! Still working on it almost every day, so while I can't comment on exactly how long it will take, I am committed to getting it launched eventually.

While Eventide Spark will be the only mane character in the initial launch, I am of course giving consideration to expanding the cast down the line. For now though, I'm planning what I think is a pretty interesting story with Eve!

And butt marks present a really interesting (and frankly complex) narrative and mechanical issue that I'm just sidestepping for now. My biggest focus at the moment is simply getting the village to a playable state.

1. Price is yet undetermined about the game, but at the very least there will be a sizable chunk (much larger than Prologue) available at launch for free.

2. While I absolutely want to eventually add these species options, do not expect to see them at launch. I want to make sure they're given the time and effort needed to really stand out when I eventually do create them.

3. Very very unlikely this will ever happen; though, alicorn characters may at least be referenced in certain parts of the story...
