We'd love to hear your feedback on our first game. Keep in mind, it was not meant to be a very big one, we had to cut corners to keep things realistic with the timeframe.

Glad you liked it! Might be possible to add a gallery, would have to ask Floof who's the muscle in this operation (the programming).
I probably won't add more to the game itself in terms of story and such, but it's not impossible for me to draw stuff on my socials or maybe even make some follow-up stories!
Banger little VN. Looking forward for more from you guys, genuinely awesome results in such a short time frame! Only thing missing would have been a gallery feature, and maybe sprites for secondary characters and more visuals for the endings. But overall it was incredible to see something so polished come randomly out of nowhere. Outstanding work!
I enjoyed your game a lot. every good think that can be said has been said. the only think I can give is an idea or two. Tight-fit you state you may make have stories that focus on different characters. It would be cool if you have other characters from this story being in a similar scenario, Judith the Fairy & Claudia the Cat would be good characters for any DLC or Sequel. I can say more since it is up to you on want way you go in & any thing more would be me just spiting into the wind. lastly Judith is the hot's girl in the game in my book, love her overall design!
A possibly simple feature for the game that would have improved it: An option (or a visual aid & tutorial if it already existed) to temporarily hide the dialogue window would have been a nice addition for viewing the CGs.
As far as difficulty, I personally one shot this game so I don't know too much about the fail states. When the weight indicator turns red, was that a warning that I was about to fail due to weight if I went to the next week without purchasing the next movement upgrade? It was unclear since there was no progress bar or percentage like the other two fail conditions.
It might have been better to break out the effects of your time usage and upgrades into different stat tracking on the end week screen. I know that the time usage is having an effect, but I can't judge if it would have been better or worse to spend my time differently.
A second thought on difficulty while I'm at it: I never purchased food tasters until the very last week (so no effect at all). There were enough end week events during the game play that provided security for a puny amount of gold that it was not necessary. Even getting duped by the one event that reduces security by 15 (vague for anti-spoiler), I still survived with over 30 security left over.
Edit: One remark about the UI as well, there's a mismatch in how "good" and "bad" are presented in the stats. For security, the fail state is letting the bar fully deplete, reach zero. For the public unrest, the fail state is letting the bar completely fill, reach 100. Individually both ways of describing failure are acceptable, but as far as user presentation goes, rewording one of the options so they both either fail at 100 or fail at zero would be less confusing.
All very good points and critique! Thank you for playing.
Yeah, I was super confused by the fact that I'd get "green negative" stats for civil unrest and then have the bar going down, I thought it meant I was going to lose when it hit zero like the Security stat would be. I'd definitely suggest flipping it around and have reaching zero be the failure case for both or vice versa. You could change Civil Unrest to "Popularity" maybe?
Also, it'd be handy if the default viewport size on itch was made smaller, it being a super large resolution by default makes it hard to navigate the page and get to itch's full-screen button.
Great idea! But we will likely not be doing any big content updates for this game, we will be releasing a good few quality of life features, maybe a difficulty mode with connecting achievements and some other nice bits to polish things up after the jam ends.
As Tight mentioned in another post: "It's not impossible for me to draw stuff on my socials or maybe even make some follow-up stories!"
But thank you very much for your feedback.
I wish there was an option to skip the end of week results. Sometimes when you gain a lot of weight/money it can take a couple seconds to finish ticking up...
Also, it's surprisingly easy to get the good ending. After my first playthrough I went in trying to as big as possible and so without exercising once, taking every single event option to gain weight, I still lasted 12 weeks...
No worries!
If you are putting lots of points into exercise then try to put less points into it.
Ensure you are buying the relevant upgrades quite quickly and have enough money for them by the time they unlock. On easy you can basically ignore exercise entirely and just focus on the other three stats and make sure you have enough to buy the weight related upgrades ASAP.
Hope that helps!
