How does the game fit the theme?
The game fits the theme “Trust No One” by making distrust into the main gameplay mechanic. In Protokol, the player receives instructions through a teletype and radio system, but not every message can be trusted. Some instructions are legitimate, while others may not.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used some audio effects from Pixabay, we also used a few 3D environment elements from the Sketchfab asset “Bunker” by Ivan Potupin (@jereck94), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution. From that asset, we used some tables, one door, and several small environment props placed around the bunker. The font used in the game was taken from Google Fonts and some code solutions, such as shader behavior (@PxlDev) and specific technical fixes, were based on learning resources such as YouTube tutorials.

I loved the vibe and environment you created especially with the shader over the player camera.
The game felt a bit hard to navigate at times, For starters, I lost the crosshair A LOT. secondly I somehow won, but half the time I wanted to accept an order but couldn't? I'm assuming its because I wasn't able to find the right object to interact with in order to "fulfill" the order. I think maybe some form of indicator on the object I'm supposed to interact with would be nice. Maybe make it glow slightly or have a border around it.
Those are the only things that made it hard for me to fully enjoy the game, but i think it's an interesting concept.
Side note: How do i know if I should accept or reject an order other than gut feeling?
Overall a nice game with a great theme incorporation, the only thing at times is that it was confusing/directionless, the dark also made it hard to know what was interactable and the lantern made the crosshair disapear at times which made it a bit frustrating. But overall a nice concept like "papers please" style game where you explore the environment do detect if it is a good task or not. Overall, great job with this one!!!
Nice twist on the theme! Was a bit confused at times but overall great job! :))
Thanks a lot! :)) We’re happy you enjoyed the theme twist. The confusion is definitely something we want to improve, especially by making the feedback and task logic clearer. Really appreciate you playing!
Would like better feedback on what can be interacted with. It was really confusion at first, some tasks I didn’t even know how to execute, so I rejected them :P Other than that, it was a great idea with nice presentation.
Thanks for playing and for the honest feedback! Yeah, we definitely need to improve how interactable objects are communicated. Some tasks ended up being harder to understand than intended, so better prompts, highlights, and clearer task instructions are high on our list for a future update. Glad you liked the idea and presentation!
Excellent vibes. I ended up winning but it felt very random to me. Took a while to understand what was interactable and what wasn't so it felt a little like I was fighting the UI than the mechanics you wanted me to interact with.
I really love the environmental detail and style. Nice Job!
Thank you so much for your feedback. Believe me, we really appreciate it, dippers994.💖🫂
