How does the game fit the theme?
Denial is a game about a Sphinx hunting for treasure in their long since abandoned ancient society. Should you trust who you encounter? Will you be safe in these ruins?
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Dialogic 2 and Phantom Camera were used minimally for this project.

What a cute game! Congrats! I did find a couple of bugs, just in case you want to make a post-jam cleaned-up version of the game, I'll let you know that hitting x to interact with the bells required around 5 tries or so to actually ring it, so the ones the i had to jump for were a little tricky. Maybe this is just my pc lagging, but nothing else was lagging much, so idk. Also in the room with the musical buttons i randomly died the first time i arrived haha. I don't know if that was intentional, i did not realize whether i was losing lives, i just collapsed and had to restart lol. I didn't ring the bell the first time i arrived, so maybe that has something to do with it? And it would be great if there was a possibility to ring the bell with the hint more than once.
The art was so cool, tho, and the controls easy to handle. Very impressive, congrats again!
It's a really fun game, and I love the art style too. The only issue is that sometimes when you unlock a mechanism somewhere, there's no hint about it. You could play a short animation when a mechanism is unlocked, with the camera tracking back to the player. I got stuck on the second level after collecting the three keys — after handing the keys over to a door, I had no idea what to do next, and then somehow the game just restarted, making me redo the entire second level! I think it would help to add some checkpoints.
Cute game. Solving the puzzles was really fun. I ended up getting stuck after finding three keys and couldn't figure out where to go. Other than that, good work.
Gorgeous Art!
fun game! cool art
loved the sfx/music and it was very fun! great job!
This game is so cute, and i like the misdirection
The game was very fun!
The puzzles were quite hard and I liked the premise that you cannot trust all sources of information. But the backtracking and enemies distracted a bit from the puzzle fun.
Thank you! We joined the jam pretty late so unfortunately I couldn't plan the layout much better haha. I'm a metroidvania lover through and through plus working on the demo for one ^^ so its in my veins
I love the Sphinx girl :3
Very awesome game! Works really well and smooth ^^
