The art of this game was great. I did find that when playing after like three people the go to main menu button broke. I had to press reload and lose all my things to play again. But other than that this game is great.

I'm going to start off by saying that it's incredibly impressive that you made this without a game engine. Absolutely well done. I know C is a hard language to work in, and then also getting it to run in browser and having a finished product for the jam is awesome!

I also wanted to mention that I wasn't sure about like how much money I had, of if my deals were good or bad. It'd be cool to have that feedback. Or maybe those things were there and I missed them. Also it'd be cool to have some more card information when you're selecting the card that you want to use.

The art is super cute! I'm so jealous of your skills! Also, I understand what it's like to run out of time for the music. I did the same with my game, and I was working with an existing engine. Great job!

Cute game. I really liked the different camera angles used in the interactions. I liked the art and font choice. Could've used more variety and stuff but its game jam and time gets away from us all. Great submission.

I'll start with the negatives and say that there are some bugs and at some point only Bertha came to the shop. Plus the lack of music (not including the main menu) is a bit of a bummer.
However, after digging into the game page a bit, I'm really impressed with this game. Making a pretty complex system with everything done from scratch, 7500 lines of code in C (bleh), very cute artstyle too, That's a lot of work. Don't think I could've done so much in one week myself.
Great stuff!

Thank you so much for checking it out and for the feedback, we really appreciate it <3

If you started seeing only Bertha selling a Vase forever right after her selling the Dinnerware, then that's because the game ran out of different encounters (we were planning to make at least 4 more, and had already drawn the rest of the characters, but we didn't have time to make the objects and dialogues). We didn't have time to make a screen explaining it or anything, but we'll have that into account when expanding the game!

Regarding the music, we were quite sad not to have the battle song ready for the game before the deadline, so I totally get it :(.

About everything else, thank you for your words! Probably part of the reason we couldn't do that much content was precisely having to implement a game engine from scratch in jam time... (scene transitions, cutscene staging and so on). It's a terrible way to make a game in a short timespan but an awesome way to learn about game development and about designing complex systems! I can also say that my boyfriend (who mainly focused on making all the artwork) is really happy to see that you found it cute!

We still have to play your game (as we have already a quite long list of games we want to check out properly as they deserve <3), but we'll check it out :D.

Really love the art! I just wish there was some audio!

Developer

Thank you so much! My bf did all the art (hi I'm boyfriend, thank you sm! it was my first time making art for a videogame jjjj), so we're both glad you liked it <3.

Regarding the audio, we were planning on making more tracks and sound effects, but we just had time to make the music and title tracks and some basic sound effects :/.

Great game, i really enjoyed tho i wish you had more sounds and some background music. but for me is an easy 5/5 for Enjoyment, Gameplay and Theme. I like it!

Thank you for playing it, and we're glad you enjoyed it! Regarding the music, we were in the middle of making a battle track and some more sounds for the game, but we were short of time to finish them <3

I liked the atmosphere, it's intriguing..... One detail I wanted to highlight is the way the camera moves dynamically while I'm deciding which method to use hahaha, these are details that made me smile

Developer

Thank you for playing it and for your kind comment! We're both so happy to see people notice the details and care we put into the game <3
