Description
Here we go!
I was inspired to create a soundtrack for a party-based, turn-based RPG, taking place in a high fantasy setting, where a band of heroes set out into a forgotten, and at this point basically uncharted land. Many dangers lurk here, and the heroes will have to work together to make it through, as their bond gets stronger.
I had time to make 2 tracks, one for the beginning of the adventure, and a combat theme ending with a victory theme for when you've won a battle.
The setting in the game would be hopeful and adventerous, as there's nothing the heroes can't overcome in this forgotten land. I wanted the music to encompass this feeling as well.

Beginning of an adventure: Those winds are so expressive. Love the gradual energy increase here and then the fade into a soft ending.
Fight Together: The elements interweave nicely here. They're all doing their own thing but still sit together nicely without any clashing. Very nice composition. Love your instrumentation.

It was a delight to listen to it. I loved the beginning of "Beginning of an adventure", very gracious, and progressively led to a more fun part which I loved as well. I absolutely loved the layering fiddle/flute with melodies that aren't exactly the same but still match quite well, and I loved the strings/brasses harmony.

Trying to achieve better harmony between instruments is definitely something I've been working on, as in earlier jams I felt like I somewhat brushed past that at times, where it didn't feel quite right. Thank you so much for listening and sharing your thoughts!
Absolutely love the folk elements from the soundtracks, the woodwinds sounded so good in the mix. The choir in the battle theme brings such great moments and immersion. Amazing work!

Both of your tracks are the kind I like where it's fun to listen to with lots of things going on and cool melodies to follow. They change over time with new sections and different instruments so I never got bored.

Very lively melodies and countermelodies! I love the fiddle and the whistle fluttering about and playing off of each other. The mix is balanced overall and feels rounded-out as a complete sound-picture. Great job!
Definitely spent a good amount of the time on this jam to get the fiddle and flute down (especially so in the second track, which is the first one I made), so I am real glad to hear you liked that aspect! Thanks a lot for listening!
This might be one of my favorites so far, I wish there was more tracks but making this in 7 days is still very impressive. Composition is is very ear pleasing, mix is great, and all of your instruments sound so lively. I'm kinda jealous lol. Amazing submission!

that was such a thrilling listen!!!!! i LOVE the composition for fight together with how you managed to make every instrument weave into each other so well despite there being a lot going on! percussion work is fantastic here too and now i feel quite motivated to get better at my own percussion works HAHA
Making the melodies and instruments work together definitely took some iterations, so I am really glad to hear you liked how it turned out!
Aww thank you, I am really glad you found something in my music that motivates you! to be honest I found the percussion in your tracks great. Felt like it had a real clean and satisfying punch to it. So I'd say you're doing great!
Excellent soundtrack and exquisite instrumentation, it was short but very effective !
The instrumentation chosen is very powerful, the production value on mixing is top-notch and the arrangements are quite dynamic (it manages to stay as intense during the whole runtime), I really enjoyed my time with it.
Beginning of an adventure has a nice buildup to it, and Fight together really shines with its energy and instrumentation (the violin are great and the vocals bring a nice touch.
Excellent work, congrats (also totally unrelated, the cover art of your album made me think of an extended music on Youtube called Panzer Dragoon Zwei - The Unexpected Enemy HOUR Extended =D, when I saw your cover I knew that I saw something similar somewhere else) !
Thanks a ton for listening! Yeah I think a solo string instrument really just sells that fantasy vibe, so I really tried to lead with that! And in the future I'd love to utilize vocals even more, it's a lot of fun, but can be difficult to incorparate at times hahah.

Love all the different interlocking parts in "Beginning of an Adventure"! The fiddle and the flute especially set up the high fantasy vibe well. And the way the beat kicks in around 1:24 is really exciting!
The combat theme is super dynamic and fun as well! I like the use of vocals in there.
I think both of these tracks convey the sense of hope and adventure you wanted really well!

I really like the intro and buildup for "Beginning of an Adventure" :) If there was a more dramatic break at 1:22, it would be even more impactful! Overall, my favorite thing about both tracks is the violin parts ~
Hahaha, me always pondering what the duration of the dramatic breaks and transitions should be. Thank you a lot for commenting, I loved fiddling around with the fiddle parts for this one!
Beginning of an adventure:
Strong sense of building momentum, but I was kinda hoping for a cathartic payoff with a release in tension, maybe marked by a shift in tonality, meter or texture.
Fight together:
Very cinematic. More sense of structure and direction. I think a great way to add more excitement could be to change up the rhythmic vocabulary with the changing sections. There was a good feeling of tension and release.
Nice work on production, both sound direct from a soundtrack!
