I like incremental games! I just feel like the beginning is too slow. Also your upgrades have some floating point calculation errors (sometimes I get 3.999999 or something similar)

Developer

Thanks for playing. Beginning is suppose to slow so when you upgrade you feel the mayhem. We are aware about the floating point calculation, we kept it because we wanted players to feel that we are affecting every single aspect of their crosshairs and giving them all the control that is possible.

Let's trade feedback. I submitted a project too.

  • Mechanics: Your upgrades and overall design are good. I don't think you need half's and decimal cost points though. Using whole points would help support kids to play this.
  • Appeal: I could see this as a mobile game. I like the theme and it's quick getting into the game. Simplify the UI and I think it could work well overall. On PC, the mouse makes this easier, but on mobile I bet it can get addicting without relying on mouse moving. Do you have plans to expand?
  • Art Style: The alien invasion theme is easy to build on. I know your aliens vary by color and ship but it will be interesting with even mores hips, aliens of different heights and even mini small ones that are even harder to hit.
  • Recommendations: Look into Time Crisis games. I think they have a mobile version too. It's a cross-hair shooter game too, look into how they vary simple enemies and that even the enemies interact with one another in good and bad ways. I think this game could use a Bumper cars effect or enemies that can bounce off of each other. After a while there's a lot of enemies---it'll be even more enticing if they bounce and repel each other. For shooting, add maybe a charge or stamina bar for when the next shot can fire, because the time in between shots is very noticeable at the moment but not shown in UI well.

Very interesting idea! I like the idle nature of it. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game. Were you able to complete the game?

Submitted(+1)

No I wasn't.

Developer(+1)

You should give it a go. You'll be amazed at the gameplay at the end levels.

A really interesting mechanics, but not so clear in starts. And maybe add change button around crosshairs

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yes, we could have made the switching of crosshairs more intuitive for players.  Well we had ideas at the end but we had to push it off and prioritize the balancing and other stuff. Hope you enjoyed the game once you got in the groove of it. Were you able to complete the game?

Good game! Really satisfying once you get a crosshair zipping around the map one-shotting everything lol

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah that was the goal, upgrade the crosshairs to go them in god mode and shoot everything.

Very neat game and really polished. The voice overs are a really nice touch as well! Great job! Also very nice logo and itch page, I love seeing an itch page with some thought put into it, makes so much of a difference :) Great job!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. It's amazing that you noticed all the minor details as well. Yes, we made a habit to update the itch page every 10-15 hours, Even if it's a small addition. This way at the end we had something to work with on the page as well.

Submitted(+2)

Yep, it's really important, having a cool page I feel like is an extension of your game :) Great job again :)

Conceptually a pretty fun game to mess around with.  It's like an asymmetrical auto-battler... though maybe don't think too hard about killing all of the pacifist aliens...

Floating point and negative number weirdness aside (look into string formatting 😉), I had fun with this one, but it did start to get a bit slow for me after level 5 or 6.  Might've picked the wrong types of crosshairs and been underpowered because of that.  Not sure!

Developer

Thanks for playing
Haha, yeah you understood our pain. We came across this issue the start of second day but decide to keep it maybe we didn't have time or fix. But it's fun to see your cooldown to go below 0 making you feel you have really cheated the system and your aimbot is truly insane. So then we decided let's keep this and let people break the system because that's what aimbots do.

I really liked getting powerful as i upgraded crosshairs! I just wish that upgrading a crosshair would upgrade all crosshairs of that type

Developer

Thanks for playing. That's a idea we floated with but then we decided that we want each crosshair to be different upgrade system because then all your actions matter a lot. Maybe we can try the other one once.

I love these types of games so this was really great! Really satisfying when you got really strong and just instakilled all the enemies.

The cross hair balance was a bit whack, it felt like some of them were really powerful and some kinda useless. There was also an issue with floating point numbers in the upgrade system making it really difficult to read, and I think I went to negative numbers?

Really enjoyed playing this, one of my favorites this year, great job :D

Developer(+1)

That's awesome to hear! Yes, you went to negatives, and we didn't have time to think what to do with them :P. They are equivalent to 0, since you can't have negative cooldowns. And we also forgot to add movement for the big guns (Bazooka and Mini-Gun) so their movement is heavily relied on the recoil force lol. Thanks for playing!

Pretty interesting idea, I liked it, congrats!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing. Were you able to complete the game?

Fun idea for a fun game! It was very satisfying to maximize my shooting output and upgrades, and the UI design was quite solid. It took me a bit to realize that I was only upgrading a single crosshair, and that I could actually click on the other crosshairs to upgrade them as well, but that's definitely a skill issue on my part lol. Anyways, great game, congrats on the submission!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing. Yes, you can upgrade all the crosshair by clicking on them. Maybe we could have added a tool tip to help guide players. Were you able to complete the game?

I really enjoyed this game! It really tickled that part of my brain that loves maximizing and upgrading stuff, kind of similar to a certain card game.

Developer

That was our goal. We wanted to target the part of the brain which goes crazy when there's an option to upgrade stuff and create a mayhem. By any chance were you able to complete the game?

Submitted(+1)

I did! The ending definitely caught me off guard :D. My strategy was focusing on powering up two sniper-type crosshairs.

Submitted(+2)

Really fun! Love the idea. Sound is great to, but i bit bass boosted haha

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing. Sorry about the sound.

Submitted(+1)

Nah, please don't worry! It's really great! It was a bit my fault for having my sound at 100% volume.
