I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with "Mark" that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.
Awesome game! So good to see that a game with relatively simplistic art style can still have such a large impact. I love the concept of the Ouroboros with the loop theme and the writing is excellent. I will be taking narrative inspiration for my next jam (mine was 42nd for narrative). Amazing work
#5 in Narrative.
If this game doesn't win something I'm going to riot.
Ok this is game is legit one of the best I have played so far this jam. The atmosphere and the writing is amazing. The music is simple but adds to much to it. The art direction gave you the sense of an old tale being told as you play. I really love you how introduce content to the players without actually doing anything. As you player character got longer he also got larger (something that was not evident at first), and the context of the surrounding changes.
Yet it's not without its flaws. Unlike some other games where it could benefits from being longer, I felt like this game drags on a little bit too long. After a while playing, I started to wonder when will the end begins, I started to got bored a bit, but I stuck with it. I was so excited when I got big enough to consume the walls. However, as I ate the second wall, the game produced an error and crashed.

I was legit upset about this, when I had just spent a lot of time playing the game. Other issues include things like when you got to a certain size you can't go in between some places and have to wait until you get even bigger to constrict around it, or sometimes the villagers bug out and spin around in the same place. I also wish as you got bigger you would also get faster to speed up the process and cut down on the game time a bit.
Overall though, although a game with a seemingly simple mechanics, it was super creative and well executed. Now I wish you would dm the ending so I can sleep soundly tonight 😞
Very good.
I wish I had a little more force to push things out of the way as I got bigger
Cohesive and a little addictive, like a more serious version of katamari.
This game was very artful for me. The narrative was well executed, and the artwork and music are phenomenal and do well to complement the design of the game overall.
Congrats on finishing this jam, and well done!
Great artwork, simple yet well-executed idea. I really enjoyed it, even though it took me a while to finish and eat the castle.
It reminded me of one of those shark games where you get bigger and bigger but with the theme very well applied.Honestly it's quite long for a jam game but i got to the end i enjoyed every moment. That's really hard to do so congrats! i really liked the more "personal"(?) story bits like the lover one or the duel. I think the way the narration appears based on what you do is really cool. So far one of the best entries i played ^^
Great game! Bits of narration was the most impactful part for me. It's a shame I couldn't finish it. Not sure what happened - it started lagging for last 3-4 circles and then browser just popped up some little window with urls or some other stuff, might be some memory issue with my browser. I gave it a second attempt to, maybe, make a screenshot of the problem, but, actually, were able to finish it this time. I also noticed that both times lagging happened when I circled in the area with livestock (maybe it will help in the future). Once again, loved the game! Good job!
