How does your game fit the theme?
Every map loops infinitely back to their starting room. Enemies follow pre-determined cycles/loops and there's something else that loops, too...

funny parody of the legend of zelda but the main charaxter looks also like tingle and the second area remembers me on the lost woods. amazing work
Fun little game. I quite liked the music, and I liked how it cuts out at lv4; though the beeping at one heart could get a little grating. clunk
I added the beeping at one heart just to annoy one of my playtesters tbh, I definitely should've toned it down to some simple visual reminder. Thanks!
it is your divine right to subtly irritate your playtesters. clunk
music fits so good! i like the enemies on loops, makes it fun to figure out
this is the true zelda experince i walk forever untill i figure it out and its satisfying when i do finally
I loves EVERYTHING !
Full of neat little ideas, funny with zelda-esque charm, a boss fight even ! Such simple ideas as the shovel hint or the checkpoint before the boss is really unique for a jam game, it was a bit challenging, yet far from impossible.
I really had fun with this one and as Clunk said:

Also, love that you used the 4 channels + noise NES music system ;)
Super creative twist on a certain Legend haha--loved playing this! I have to say I wish there was a healing potion or something you could pick up early, just to have with you, but I understand that would be harder to include in the time constraints. Loads of fun! :)
Honestly, I did have more than enough time to add a healing item, but I decided to take the lazy way out and give your health back every level ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ you're definitely right though, I should've. Thanks!
The idea is pretty cool. I liked how the music disappeared on level 4, and honestly that loop back gave me quite a pleasant surprise. The boss fight is quite challenging, and I didn't manage to beat it. A health bar sure would've been nice, cuz i didnt really know how many hits was needed. As for the music, it can get slightly repetitive after a while. Also- when I first went from level 1 to level 2, I actually didn't know the shovel collected from level 1 would stay, so I ended up going all over the level to find the shovel, before finally realizing I already had it, so having the character be holding the shovel would've been a nice touch. Finally, getting damaged sorta instantly sometimes when moving onto the next room wasn't nice. But overall, I'd say it's pretty solid.
It's 15 hits for the boss if you're curious. Also, yeah I should've added a HUD element with the shovel on it and a screen transition to avoid the getting hit issue. Thanks for the feedback!
Pretty funny idea and good execution. The audio and movement got a little annoying after a while, but it was still fun to play.
Very cool game! Definitely frustrating getting damaged when moving to a new screen, but other than that it's awesome! Zelda 1 is great
i was under the impression i was getting some deltarune vibes with the art honestly. It had a weird bad charm to it? It was consistent so that is what made me keep playing to see the rest of the art.
I used Zelda as a disguise to hide my secret Deltarune inspiration and everyone saw through it 😭 ty
I managed to defeat the boss. This game had a nice nostalgic feel to it and it was fun exploring and figuring out how to get around the map. Nice job!
Nice concept and cool art & music!
Careful not to get sued by Nintendo.
Very cool concept and really nice execution :) The boss is kinda hard but overall really great job! The music was pretty good, loved the vibes!
The map looking in on itself is a cool idea, loves the Zelda vibes
the boss fight is very punishing, still cant figure it out but really good game i enjoyed it :)
I liked it a lot! It captured the eerie vibe that something was off super well, and really pulled me in. The enemies were so annoying but I figured them out and realized that taking time to kill them was part of the journey. Loved the narrative as well. Great job!
Great idea encapsulating such a classic feel. That was fun :D
I really like how the whole games comes together so well, the silence and repeated layout of the 4th level really gave an eerie feeling together with the oldschool sprites.
nice game, spider fight took me a few tries but got it in the end. i like how the … appears when the character gets confused by the map looping
Loved how you looped the levels! Absolute cinema on the loading screen mate!!
