How does your game fit the theme?
The main character is looping through his memory of his lover, trying to hang onto the past. But he discovers that some of his memories from the past also loop in the present too.

! SPOILER WARNING !
I didn't know I had to keep memories alive, so the first time I just traced the suitcases and then everything started to fade. I thought the girl was moving away lol. Then the ending with the granddaughter (I assume) was kinda weird.
It's a cute game. I'd like it if there was another ending if you can keep the memories alive long enough.
Great job!
It made me soooo sad :(....
aww very touching, very charming. let the dancing never end
This game is literally one of the best. It really touched my Heart. The simplicity in artwork and a great audio.I really enjoyed playing it.
i really enjoyed that, really unique idea too! The artwork was great and simple, really fit the whole vibe of the game!
I really enjoyed that, even though it was very bittersweet. Very unique use of the theme!
If I had one piece of feedback, I think i would have wanted the difficulty of tracing the objects to get higher as time went on. It definitely felt like I could pretty easily go on forever. Or maybe that was the message of the story.
Overall though, Solid work!
Aww this is so sad! And sweet at the same time <3
I think the concept is wonderful, I was immediately hooked when I understood what I was supposed to do. And this is so beautiful that there are two parts of the story. Life goes on, and there is always beauty in it, expecially when you keep these memories.
I also think the tracing mechanic is a good game design decision. What made me a bit confused is that I think that gameplay is a bit counter-intuitive: I tried so hard to keep the things from dissappearing and after a couple of minutes got tired and thought that this is it and there is nothing more left to do. I was quite surprised to see there is more gameplay, and it happened only because I left the game window open for a while :) It was slightly misleading for me that in order to proceed you have to stop doing the main thing you were asked to do. Or maybe I just wasn't patient enough :)
As I started playing, I thought that I was to trace the objects and each new object would let me see some memories that these two had. It would be really exciting to see more of their together-moments!
A very inspiring entry all in all :)
OMG dog loop dev?! <33 Ahh thanks for your feedback >u< yes the "puzzle" part seemed a bit tricky, I think we could've added a hint in the game. Glad you figured it out :D
This was a very poignant and beautiful game. It's a unique and clever use of the jam theme.
There does seem to be a bug with the second scene in the game. It just got stuck the first time I tried to play, but was fine after that.
this was so beautiful!! as i desperately tried keeping these items on screen, it resembled the feeling of desperately revisiting memories with someone, holding onto parts of them as they fade, or on another level, retracing the steps of what went wrong, again and again, etc, etc. theres this element of obsessive, patterned thinking (at least in me) when it comes to loss, and it was lovely to see that represented in a game :) in terms of gameplay, it could have been good to not have everything on screen at the start, and slowly introducing the objects, just to get familiar with their shapes (since it was unclear what exactly i should be tracing in the first couple playthroughs). but such a lovely experience, thanks for sharing this!
Cute art :) quite the melancholic theme though... The music was fitting it well! :)
The simple mechanic of trying to desperately cling onto fading memories by frantically tracing them before they disappear...it makes you feel for the character without needing to read a word of dialogue. Very good narrative! I recommend having a continuous looping track for the record player (music box sound), as the constant fading in an out of the track can be distracting. Great game overall!
i really enjoyed this interactive story the only thing is a recordplayer does NOT sound like that.
I didn't expect to feel so moved for such simplistic concept. Sad that whatever how hard I try I still cannot stop the fade from happening.
Truly beautiful and moving. I think simplicity is always the special ingredient that makes an emotional moment in a game really stick the landing, and you nailed it. I’m reminded very much of a particular moment in Florence, though I’ll be unspecific to avoid spoilers ;) Very good job. I hope your team continues to explore games like this one.
Such a wonderfully bittersweet story and unique use of the theme!
The game deserved a lot more views ! Good job team
Wow this is an amazing premise, so sad though!
The art style is really really good. And the story is very touching. Unfortunately I got stuck on an endless loop where the same music kept restarting. I think the concept is solid but it needs some extra time to make it into a fully functioning game if you would want to release it.
Ahh perhaps you have to help him move on...?
Glad you liked the game :D
Oh if that was intended to happen then I'm sorry I'll have to try again hahaha I thought it was a bug!
By the way it would be really cool if you could also rate my game! :)
AHHH this is so creative, and so narratively simple yet so meaningful too? such a cool interpretation of the theme, and it really sells the anxiety of losing a loved one, and their memories, going crazy having to continually remind yourself and re-experience the grief. amazing work. the dance animation too oh my goshhh
I think this is one of the most interesting interpretations of the "loop" theme. The game could be improved by using less frustrating controls; in any case, I didn't expect to feel moved while playing the games from this Jam.
Ahh thank you so much! Jank mouse drawing aside we’re glad our story felt meaningful :))
