Could only get up to 127 before my eyes couldn't keep up, very cute and weirdly addicting
Thanks! glad the addiction got communicated correctly!
The artstyle is amazing! My highest score is 116, I'm dizzy but satisfied xD
Thanks!
I love the game, the art is amazing,The UI is well made.I really enjoyed it
Good Submission :)
Thanks!
Really cute game! It's so visually appealing and i love the UI as well!! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks!
This is really fun! I really enjoy games that need to tutorial because they are extremely intuitive:) Great job everyone!
I LOVE the UI. The artwork is nice and I really like the collor palette you went with. Congrats!
Thanks for playing!
Wonderful ui!! I really loved the art on every part, it is all very fitting. Instead of quirky biscuits just giving random side effects (teleport, freeze) they might also increase points(maybe even more than normal cookies) otherwise they just feel like different kinds of obstacles instead of perfectly implemented risk elements. Really well done!!
On our lists thanks for the suggestion! thanks for playing
This game looks great. All of the artwork is amazing. The actual gameplay felt great as well. I would suggest an in-game reference to what each of the items do. The controls were smooth, and the difficulty scale worked nicely. The music fit in perfectly as well. Great Job!
Will def do! screw how short 48 hours are, thanks for playing!
Love the palette, cheers!
Thank you! our artists do be the ones getting all the compliments ouch -programmers
Love the art style/colour palette for this and the range of item effects that slowly get added.
Thanks!
i like the take to the theme on this. good job!
Thanks!
the music is awesome!!! so is the game overall, i love how different cookies give you different cookies give different effects!
Thanks!
Cool game, really like the art and the music for this one!
Glad you liked it!
I have played this type of mini game many times before, typically in some food app where you can earn a discount if you score at least 100 points. The difference being, in the food app, it is designed for everyone to succeed, whereas your game is much more challenging - and thereby fun.
Your game is well executed and enjoyable to play. It creates a nice rush when the game and music increases in speed, and a funny "oops" moment when you get tricked into eating the discolored cookies.
I am not sure if jumping makes any sense in this game, especially at the later stages. I never used it, at least.
The pixelated menu graphics are also awesome. Well done overall!
Thanks for your kind words!
Actually someone made the case of jumping being useless, but we decided to do it in the end to give the player a better sense of mobility and to make the game fell less restricted. We thought at the end of the day, no one has to use it.
Hi ~the someone
Really good art, sound design is also nice (music as well!) Cute game
Thank you!
The art and design is really good. The thing i liked the most was the attention to SFX and music, it gives this sensation of feedback and I think it reminds us how important sound is to a game. Well done!
Thanks (: our sound designer do be amazing
I wasn't able to get a high score, but I found it addictive enough to try a few times. Really polished experience, from the menu and leaderboard to the gameplay itself. The art is charming and the music/effects are adorable. Everyone involved in this did great work, one of my favorites for sure.
Thanks for the kind words!
This reminds me of the old flash games on minigame.com or whatever it was called. There was one with balls that bounced around and you have to shoot them while not letting them crush you. This game reminds me of that cuz its sorta the same idea. Running, around avoiding falling objects.
Anyways its fun. I really like the animations the character has and the beginning where he wakes up. Good job.
There was a bug with the jumping. I didn't notice how it happened cuz it was my first play through. I was jumping and dashing, getting used to the controls then I just couldn't do either so I thought they were tied to the energy bar. Then my next play through I figured out only the dash was tied to the energy bar. So maybe its when hit jump and dash together too much?
Hello! Thanks for the review (: There is no bug. As per the tutorial in the game page, blue cookiee are disguised bugs that stun you, making you slower, unable to dash and unable to jump
I had to play the game again to make sure. Ok blue cookies do not permantley ban jumping. The bug is that I lost the ability to jump for the whole run. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think anything in this game does that?
Again I wasn't paying attention to the exact moment the bug happened, I just noticed I couldn't jump anymore. I don't think I touched a blue cookie cuz my movement speed wasn't slowed down and I didn't have that fat appearance the blue cookies give you. But the most logical assumption would be that when I noticed I could no longer jump, I had grabbed a blue cookie at some point in the past, the effects wore off except for whatever reason the banned jump ability effect.
To help you solve this bug if you do want to bring this to a full game. I noticed this near the start of the run a little after when the other colored cookies started falling. I was avoiding them at first but then wanted to know what they did. I tried jumping for the and thats when I noticed it was on lock so I assumed the energy was tied to the jumping cuz I was on empty dashing as soon as the game started. Not knowing the dash consumed energy. lol. I was jumping too so thats why i think it could also be a pressing the controls too fast, too close together. Throughout that run I had grabbed all the colored cookies, the batteries and hit by enemies. But the jumping never came back.
This could be a one off bug that very few people will ever encounter. Resetting the game fixed it. I actually ran into one of those bugs right before I submitted my game. And recently I ran into a bug for my full game. Where the code was correct. Nothing was wrong yet it wouldn't work. But I fixed it by deleting the code and put it back in. Turning the unreal engine on/off didn't fix it but turning the code on/off did. lol. So it's not a big deal. But I do find these kinds of bugs interesting. I had another bug in the past where a boolean was suppose to turn off when you left the trigger box. But for whatever reason you could get in then out of the trigger box faster than the code could compile. Which is weird cuz code is suppose to be basically instant. But I fixed it with the tiniest delay. Basically I just needed to separate the codes from fighting each other.
Nice game! It's fun to play and I like art and the fun music. After getting hit in the game though, I think it would had been nice if you get control of the player before the invincibility time ends so you have a better chance avoiding a hit immediately again. I also liked the blue cookies, felt doomed in a good way after collecting those! Though I think they would look more like debuffs if they had the same sprite as the malware and not the cookies. Took me a little bit to realize they didn't give any points.
Thanks! We are making the debuff cookies give points as a risk reward mechanic post jam! thanks for the review (:
very nice game. Has great visuals, audio and a great feel to it.
Thanks!
