Fun space arcade game.
Controlling both ships made for a fun challenge avoiding the projectiles. Also, I appreciate the options to switch weapons right away.
Good job!

How does your game fit the theme?
The planes are pals, the player is controlling both characters at the same time. Double the fire power - but don't lose your pal :)
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 4 days?

I'm dumb and didn't think to move up/down the first time I played and got crashed into XD Went a lot better on the 2nd run and I managed to beat it. The split diagonal laser felt a lot better too!
Pretty tricky sometimes when I wanted to move sideways but was looking a the wrong ship but after getting used to it, it was a lot of fun.
A very chill and laid back experience, and a good take on Space Invader. Well done!
I loved playing space invader! This reminded me so much of it. The game is fun. It takes a bit to get used to the controls but it's great once you do.
Controls were a bit hard to grasp at first but after a bit it felt more comfortable. I don't know about you said the game being easy though because I died a few times before even getting to the boss lol. Perhaps the split guns make the game easier but I was just using the straight guns. Maybe making the guns unlockable somehow instead of having them available at the start could be better.
The visuals and sounds were definitely fun.
Anyway an enjoyable experience nonetheless. Good job!
I wasn't able to finish to the final boss, but from all that I saw I liked the controls and gameplay.
ayoo i really enjoyed to control 2 spaceships in a game like this makes me pay way more attention than the normal and the 2 sided gun absoluty destroy everything in your path!!!!!!!
Fun little space invaders game, the sound design is excellent!
But the spreadshot weapon is too OP, makes the game too easy.
Fun game, loved games like this back than ^^ i liked the space goblin art alot <3 feel bad for her ^^
Nice game, having the player control mirrored ships is definitely unique! Though I do think that having weapon switching set to a key input instead of a button would be better.
enjoyed this one quite a lot, i like the take on the theme. the game reminded me of old game called Platypus. a keyboard shortcut to switch weapon would be a nice addition
It was pretty fun and quite nostalgic to play this. It was a nice twist on the classic Space Invaders. I did quickly find that the purple split shots was a meta until the boss fight where I found the rapid fire shots to be a bit better imo. It was quite challenging to keep the pink ship alive!
I like the take on the theme! Only feedback is I would change the weapon switch to a keyboard button :)
Honestly, I really should have done that. I even thought about it as one of the things to do before the final submission, and I had solid 15 minutes left between final version and the deadline so it could and should have been done.
Now, frankly the button is a debug option, the original intention was for the player to either have traditional power ups drop from enemies, or every few waves giving the player a choice of weapon Vampire Survivors style. But I didn't have the time to implement either, so I just left the debug button in the public build as a good enough solution ^^'. But yeah I really should have bound it to tab or something
Love the mirrored player approach. The tiny enemies made it hard to double up my bullets most of the time but when it worked it felt good!
Very cute game! I went with th diagonal bullets the whole way
I loved the boss introduction and fight. The bite attack was cool and unexpected. I found myself just focusing on one pilot and hoping the other wouldn't die. It seems like the ship that goes left when you press left and right when you press right was bubi's. Who did he bribe to get the better ship! xD
Is there a way to change weapon without mouse click? It felt a bit awkward but that's all
(I will come back and rate once my queue is clear!)
Unfortunately there is no way to change the weapons without mouse clicking, I thought about it but forgot to bind it to a key press before submitting the final build.
I'm happy to hear you liked the bite attack! I actually wanted it to only hurt the player during the actual bite animation frames, which would be weaker, but cooler ^^' - ran out of time though.
