  • This game was a little bit addictive. The controls weren't complex, but there was enough delay and oversteering to make the game challenging. There was one issue that was annoying, but not game breaking. The camera has a tendency to end up in the wall near the level edge, resulting in just a gray screen, this confused me until I shook my mouse and realized it was just out of bounds. Could use more audio. Otherwise, very good job!
  • I loved the art style. Especially for level three. The snail was really cute and the animation for rising out of the cave was amazing. The mechanics for each level were great, and I enjoyed the different shells. Now, for my issues... Firstly, I wish there were sound effects. Crystals breaking, landing a jump... small things can make an experience go from good to great. Now, for being a game based off a snail, this game had the slipperiest controls I have ever used. The snail moved like a car: could only turn when moving forwards/backwards and the slightest amount of pressure will send them speeding off. In level two, the snail kept trying to overcorrect the turning. For a game with precise platforming, this was a frustrating experience. Most of my resets were caused by me launching over a platform and onto salt far away from my target.

This is an okay action-adventure game.

Pros:

- Level mechanics were interesting

- Player model is cute

- Level design was good, particularly in levels 3 and 4.

- Impressive effects were present everywhere in Level 3.

Cons:

- Lack of any audio whatsoever was a detriment to player feedback.

- The controls were really bad, and not in a Foddian way. The turning was inconsistent.

- Level 2 has no challenge.

- Level 4 has no reminder of glide mechanics, potentially leaving players lost with an impossible jump.

- Level 3's platforms were the same color as the ground, leading to missed jumps, since I couldn't see the platform.

Assuming the game was meant to be kind of a rage game the controls were well done. The game could use some background music, and sound effects especially when you are breaking the crystals. I do wish there was a visual indication of when you are gliding as it was difficult to tell if it was working at times.

Overall a pretty fun game! The controls were a little annoying but I guess it made for a good rage game though. Besides adding sound and maybe smoothing out the controls a bit, I have no complaints! The idea was super fun and I had a fun time playing it!

The game was pretty good, levels were varied with interesting visuals. However, it was sorely lacking any form of sound or music. The controls were also a bit too frustrating for my liking, although I kinda get the feeling that that was the point. More importantly, the controls would also often not function correctly on slopes.

This game was so weirdly addicting. The controls are both intuitive and frustrating difficult enough to feel very satisfying when completing a level. The snail cannot steer mid air or without going forward and reversing is very slow and difficult compared to moving forward. The beginning level is pretty easy as it is for people getting used to the controls but the difficulty really ramps up on level 3 because you have to be so precise with your movement or else you die to the snow in the level. I would so play this over and over again because of the control mastery one can achieve in this game, it truly is a well-made rage game.

Clear indication of when you gain access to the glider within the game would be a major improvement. Other than that the difficulty felt very high, although it would fit nicely into the rage game genre. Slopes, on the other hand, are frustrating for all the wrong reasons, turning becomes far too sensative. Design didnt feel cohesive between the levels

this game was satisfying once I figured it out, but initially figuring out how to play was confusing, even reading the controls. The theming was fun though I really liked the way everything looked, just wish it was more intuitive to play.

Very cute aesthetic design. I really enjoyed the various shell types. The glider was my absolute favorite once I figured out how to use it (an in-game message about having the ability would've been nice). I absolutely adore the gliding sequence at the end; I got very excited realizing that the mass of salt spikes was the way forward. The reset button is a very nice utility and safety net.

My main complaint is that the controls are quite slippery and hard to get used to. I also think some sound effects would've added a lot to the asthetics.

Overall though, I like the design, and most importantly, I had fun!

Love the concept, adore the art style, but found it frustrating to play due to the controls. Charming— can totally see this as a mobile game if the controls can be polished. The abilities the snail gains are creative and keep the player engaged, but aren’t fully realized. Great stuff overall, though.

This game struggled with proper controls. It was hard to tell where the snail was going, sometimes the camera clipped into walls, sometimes the camera was not centered on the snail at all, and the overall controls felt very unpolished. I loved the idea for this game, and the implementation was very nice. The art design was fun, and the objective clear. However, the controls really made it tedious. I loved the different controls for each level and the new abilities the snail got-- those were very clever.

love what you guys did with the overall aesthetic i adore games that have this sort of look! my camera would go a bit crazy at times and i was really trying to work with mr. snail in terms of movement but unfortunately it was a bit frustrating! all the level designs were interesting and i thought the powerups were a nice touch! was definitely missing some music or sound though. nice work!

Snail controls were really clunky, could not tell which way I was going, and constantly got stuck on the walls. Cool design, cute theme, I liked this one. Probably just needed more playtesting to ensure a smoother experience.

I really liked the different powerups and level goals. The controls for the snail were very difficult to use, especially the turning being too fast and only being able to turn when moving.

I love the aesthetic of this game. However, the controls made it nearly unplayable for me. The camera being hard to handle and the icy tank controls made even the first level incredibly challenging for me.

Cute world design and the snail swapping shells is quite a fun mechanic in my opinion. The movement is the biggest downside, as the snail is really hard to control. I think the gliding in level 4 is well done, however. I think with a revamp to movement it would be a fun, relaxing game to play.

I liked the aesthetic of this game and the look of the models, it had a visually distinct style that sets it apart from other games. With tank control type games my preference is that the rotation is inverted when in reverse, but this is purely my own preference. The rotation felt too fast, like maybe if it accelerated as A and D were held down it would feel better, but I think that particular aspect of the control system should be tweaked.

The snail model is really funny! I liked the challenge the game provided, but I definitely was not used to the movement mechanics. it felt like you could only turn left or right when you were moving forwards or backwards. this resulted in me in the river on multiple accounts, which was a little frustrating. Other than that however, I find the challenges and art style unique, and I can see how much effort went into the game. Congratulations! I hope you guys continue working on this project.

I thought the numerous levels were a good implementation. The controls were tough to use. I couldn't do anything midair made it difficult to control jumps and speed. Additionally, turning was extremely tough because it felt too sensitive. The game was really interesting adventure-wise, but there wasn't too much action. I liked the implementation of the various effects. However, on level two you can essentially "float" through the entire level. Overall, the game could use some improvements regarding the controls. Other then that, it was a fun game and I like how it was based after a snail!

Cute game. The controls for the snail are pretty rough. The sensitivity when rotating is too high imo, and I kept having a bug where whenever I was touching a wall/tree, I wasn't able to rotate anymore, which got pretty frustrating. As for level 2, as others have mentioned the gravity effect happens so slowly it was really easy to just fly through the entire level. I like how the snails shell color changes during each level though. Overall its a decent game, but the controls could definitely be fleshed out more.

While this game had a lot of levels, it felt more like an obstacle course game—there was not much action-adventure implementation. The controls were also a bit janky. But overall, I think some tweaks can be made to make this game more engaging, such as adding some enemies that deals damage and abilities that can boost the snail speed or help it fight off enemies.
