Ranked from 38 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does the game fit the theme?
It's centered around a strange place, which, in fact, has a secret.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I reused and improved a player controller from my previous project.
The same could be said about the player sprite. It is, in fact, my OC. I've sprited them long ago with refining from my acquaintance. They got heavily resprited for this game by our artist to fit into 16x16 grid.
Sounds are from Cave Story and all the music wasn't made during jam, yet it's still original.

How many people worked on the game?

I liked it. It took me a long time to understand that I had to press the button drawn on the platform😅

I love meta!

Sadly, I didn't get that the screenshots were part of the puzzle.
Still it was a really cool experience

Love the visuals and the gorgeous cover art, but I can't even go through the "This garden has a secret" scene. Any chance of a hint? :'(

The key is in the screenshot section.

(It might unlock the door.)

Cool short game, took me a while to discover the secret, until I looked more closely. Very nice visuals :)

I really liked the music and the character and the concept. However, I think it would have been nice to slowly increment the difficulty. I couldn't figure out the secret on the first level. But I really like the idea of it and would have loved to be able to progress.

i seached far too long for more secrets than the first one :D i love the idea of using the itch page as clues/ part of the riddle. really nice!

I love the lil character guy! The secret was a challenge, but I kind of accidentally found it!

I thought the game wasn't working properly lol.

It's a difficult secret and there's nothing else to it (unless i missed something), but I have to admit that the graphic style and details when moving around are great.

Okay, I don't think I've ever made my brain work so hard. In the end, it was a nice experience, I like how you've broken down the screen wall.
Cute artwork and music

Simply innovative. You tricked me perfectly. A fourth-wall break I wasn't expecting. The game went beyond the game screen. Very good. A great puzzle. It looks a lot like Cicada 3301.

i love it

I liked it, but was also very confused. I relatively quickly figured out where I should stand and what to press, but felt I may have missed something since the game ended. Oh well, what was there looked very promising :)

very nice art style! i found this on newgrounds - never could find the secret or how to get the game to look like in the screenshots 😀💥

Secret found, time to rest now! Very immersive experience

Gorgeous music! The idea is fun since you don't die by falling. Would have been awesome to see more!

I like the art and smooth movement but the garden remained a secret to me

Very cool visuals but after the first page is it? I am not sure if I really get it but it was a fun experience

This game was stunning! I loved the mystery and how I actually had to solve things myself instead of gentle nudges. This was a great game! :D

Man the art is so well done in this game. I love the use of tertiary elements to build an ARG in the space of a jam. Just wish there was more of it to sink my teeth into.
