and for anyone who's struggling with controls, go to settings and press zqsd (it's the wrong way around)

Super polished game ! Very nice art directionwith beautiful music as well! The controls felt great (the wasd controls in web version isn't working properly but other one works fine)

The game seemed cool, the art was good, and I liked the music, but only the s d worked. Maybe it was because I was on the web version.

What an amazing little puzzle game! All of the puzzles are tuned to be perfect, where they make you think but they aren't too difficult. This game had me scratching my head and thinking "Outside the Box" (lol). The artwork and music were to DIE FOR, it was such a beautiful game!

Oh thank you so much for such a kind feedback <3

Very professional presentation. Maybe it’s just me, but it was a bit cryptic at first, I think you could give a clue what the main mechanic is really about. Other than that, this was one of the most polished games I played from this jam. Good work!

made me (almost) love the box as much as the companion cube

I liked the artistic style, a cozy little maze accompanied by nice, calm, relaxing music to stress yourself out solving puzzles, the best combination hahaha. Also, jumping on our team pet’s head is always satisfying, using moles as a solution is so fun :). I like it, I like it I really enjoyed your game design. I really enjoyed the gnomes puzzle; it’s very clever!!

The game was really interesting! It was especially fun to solve the puzzles towards the end, and I liked the visuals and sound design. The ending was pretty nice too!

High marks all around. love the spooky music!! Love the bush texture. The puzzles were really fun to solve. I got through a run, and I think there's more puzzle! so I'll try at least one more time. I also appreciate that nothing is really explained (I really appreciate when the developer does *not* guide you to all the solutions). The gnomes are sooo silly and I'm here for it. I kept trying to jump on them haha.

This is a really good and simple puzzle game with really charming artstyle, I had a good time playing this game, wish it was a bit longer.

There isn't a lot of criticism to say about this game, I think it's all done really well, so congratulations!

I absolutely LOVED this art style, and this game had so much charm! The puzzles were fun and creative, and the twist solution at the end was genuinely really cool. Great job!

the vibe of this game is so on point

I love this, great game :)

The controls are swapped for some reason. If you choose one, in the settings, it picks the other. Also why is Z,Q,S,D an option? Is there a keyboard or way of playing I don't know about? A bit of frustration to start but moving on.

The visuals and music is amazing.  The stone gnome guy is adorable. I enjoyed the puzzles. Overall this is a fantastic game. Great job

I did look through the comments for the answer to the final puzzle. I don't like that one way you lose and the other way you win. I went right the first time so I thought that wasn't the answer. Rather I think instead of a lose screen, make the player take the long walk around. That way its punishment but doesnt deter the player from discovery.

re: bottom paragraph, that does sound like a really cool idea! thank you for your feedback. :)

Developer

Thank you for your comment :) ZQSD is used for AZERTY keyboards. Most of the team members are French and use this type of keyboard 👍

O wow. Looking it up there are a lot of keyboard layouts out there. I thought it was like numbers, universal, but translated to the culture not different placements for other cultures. Ya learn something new every day lol

I really liked playing this one! The concept is simple but effective and the increase in difficulty for the puzzles felt really good. The sound design and art are really well executed too! Also, R.I.P. Rebecca 🙏

Great game!
Talented artist, sound designer, puzzles and programmer although having z being forward rather than wasd made me feel like I had crab fingers.

Banger game! I loved all the puzzles (i do have 1 slight problem with the last puzzle), I love the art i love the atmosphere, and I love the music!

(spoiler warning) When i first figured out that going outside the box was the solution that was the greatest feeling! But i went right instead of left and it gave me the "Joke Ending" so i thought that wasn't the solution and I got very disappointed. So i went around the entire maze again searching for ANY CLUE to help me beat the game, until i looked outside again and to the left of the maze I notices a little door way. Thinking it was a stretch I went outside the box again, and like i thought that was the solution! I kinda wished it was a little more obvious the left side was the way to go, because that would have made the game feel more satisfying.
But overall an amazing game i had a lot of fun with!

Developer

Thank your for your kind message and feedback <3
In fact, by clicking "continue game" in the game menu you could just redo the maze from your last save instead of re-doing it all. But so glad you liked it that much :)

Submitted(+2)

I did press continue which was super helpful! But i still didn't know what to do because i didn't think going left would be any different than going right (that may just be me being dumb tho). so thats went around the maze again looking for clues. i did end up figuring it out, it just took me a bit longer lol

Fun game. I love the music and sound effects. The style of the game is really cool.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! It's so simply yet it's so well done and polished that I was glued to it the whole time. I was having so much fun getting through the maze I didn't stop to "think outside the box" to get the real solution until a couple of resets haha! Also, I am a big fan of lasagna so bonus points for that!
